I’m a Celebrity winner Angryginge, real name Morgan Burtwistle, has shared a devastating family update. The YouTuber revealed on Instagram that his mother Michelle’s house burnt down on Sunday (31 May), the day of Soccer Aid.

On Monday, Ginge had given fans a quick update explaining that he would not be streaming that night as he was dealing with a ‘major family issue’ that needed sorting.

He added: “I need to be with the family and make sure everything is okay.”

The next day Ginge explained the devastating situation, telling fans: “Everyone is assuming or guessing someone has passed away. They’ve not, so that’s a good thing.

“As you can tell, you wouldn’t think it, but right now I am in my mum’s house.”

In the video, posted to his Instagram Stories, Ginge wore a face mask and gloves while showing what was left of his mum’s front room after the fire.

“The morning of Soccer Aid, I get a phone call, mum’s house has burnt down,” he explained.

“This is what we are dealing with now. Obviously, there will be more updates as we go, but at the minute, I mean yeah.”

“This isn’t even the worst of the worst. I’ll keep you all updated and I’ll be live whenever I can go live,” Ginge then said, adding that Michelle would now be staying with him.
