A “masterpiece” gangster film with a 90% score is streaming for free in the UK. Reservoir Dogs (1992) tells the story of a crew of criminals in the aftermath of a high-stakes diamond heist gone wrong. As they lay low in an abandoned building, the group begins to suspect each other of being a police informant responsible for the plan collapsing, and their uneasy alliance starts to break down.
The independent film was Quentin Tarantino’s debut feature-length movie, announcing his arrival as filmmaker to watch. He also wrote its frequently-quoted screenplay and stars as one of the gang. The crime drama features a host of big names, including Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Chris Penn, Steve Buscemi, Lawrence Tierney, Michael Madsen, and Edward Bunker. Fans have flocked to Rotten Tomatoes, to praise the film, with one writing: “Masterpiece! Fantastic acting, script and directing. Tarentino changing the gangster film genre.”
