A “beautifully chaotic” drama fans are urging others to watch is streaming now in the UK. Bunny (2025) is an American comedy-drama movie set in Manhattan’s East Village that follows street-wise hustler and sex worker Bunny (Mo Stark) and his friend, the perpetually-stoned Dino (Ben Jacobson), who find themselves attempting to hide a dead body after one of Bunny’s jobs goes badly wrong.

The pair are helped by an ensemble cast of eccentric neighbours, with the action taking place over one day and night, and almost entirely in their tenement building. The film was directed and produced by Jacobson in his directorial debut. He also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Stark and Stefan Marolachakis. The cast also includes Liza Colby, Tony Drazan, Linda Rong Mei Chen, Eric Roth, Richard Price and Henry Czerny.

Fans have flocked to IMDb to shower the zany farce with praise. One said: “At just ninety minutes, Bunny moves at a frenetic pace and never lets up. I could have spent another thirty minutes with these characters. There’s a warmth to it, and an energy that’s infectious. It’s chaotic and comforting, both wild and human.

“Bunny will be on my list of the best films of 2025. I can’t wait to see it again, and I can’t wait for more people to fall in love with these unforgettable characters.”

Another, who gave it a 9/10, wrote: “The film isn’t burdened with lofty thematic ambitions; instead, it revels in constructing a cavalcade of antics ripe for comic exploitation-if not always for credibility.

“But this is precisely the sort of film where authenticity is beside the point. It’s a romp, and it gives its cast ample space to play.”

A third called it “tight, endearing, beautifully chaotic”, writing: “I had no previous knowledge of any of the main actors or film makers here but I’ll be watching for more from them after this.

A fourth said: “We just watched this film, thinking that we were about to watch another film with a similar title (another 2025 release).

“Unfortunately I think the similarity in the two titles is going to mean that a lot of people will miss this absolute gem.

“It will not be to the taste of everyone but we thought it was fantastic.”

A fifth added: “If you have an artsy bone in your body and have lived in a communal environment, this movie speak right to you. I loved it and been recommending it ever since I’ve seen it. Excellent job Mo and Ben!”

The film has a 15 certificate and contains strong language, drug misuse, sex references, and sexual violence references – so viewer discretion is advised.
