“This show is cute, funny, smart, and checks all the boxes.”

Good Cop/Bad Cop, the “incredible” police sitcom that has been branded “fun and refreshing”, is coming to Netflix soon. Starring Gossip Girl‘s Leighton Meester and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s Luke Cook, the procedural comedy is slated for release on Netflix next Tuesday (3 March).
Having premiered on The CW in 2025, the show follows Meester and Cook as Lou and Henry, respectively. The pair are a brother-and-sister detective duo who work for a small police force in the Pacific Northwest.
Confronted with a host of colourful residents, Lou and Henry must contend with a lack of resources while navigating their own complicated family dynamics.
The logline reads: “In Eden Vale, where policing runs in the Hickman family, gut-driven Lou must work with her by-the-book brother after he transfers into the force.”
Joining Meester and Cook on the cast are Clancy Brown (Dexter: New Blood, The Penguin), Devon Terrell (Cursed), Blazey Best, Scott Lee, William McKenna, Shamita Siva and Grace Chow.

Over on IMDb, Good Cop/Bad Cop has a user rating of 7.1 out of 10, with many reviews praising Meester and Cook’s performances in their lead roles.
One user called it an “incredible show”, adding: “This show is cute, funny, smart, and checks all the boxes. The characters have distinct and witty personalities that bring a wide variety. The setting is all wrapped inside the small town feel with neighbouring town rivalries.”
Another person called it “a fun and refreshing new show”, saying: “Leighton Meester and Luke Cook shine so far in this new series. These two are great actors and really sell the sibling dynamics.”

Someone else penned: “It was a refreshing and unexpectedly delightful watch, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lighthearted and entertaining show.”
Another fan of the show said: “It’s fun to see Leighton Meester back in a series again. She and Luke Cook are perfectly cast. Cosy mystery with plenty of humour and interesting supporting characters. Can’t wait to see how the rest of the series plays out.”
While the majority of user reviews for Good Cop/Bad Cop were positive, one reviewer said: “Normally I give a new show of interest at least 3 episodes before I dump it, but this one had to be dropped immediately.”
The series currently holds an impressive 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes, too, based on 11 reviews. Despite a largely positive response, Good Cop/Bad Cop was cancelled after one season recently (via Deadline).
Good Cop/Bad Cop is released on Netflix on 3 March.
