Danny Hewitt and Bec Zacharia officially became Mr and Mrs after marrying on MAFS Australia 2026 – but are they still together now? Or have they split? Spoilers ahead.

Married At First Sight Australia 2026 brought together bride Bec Zacharia and groom Danny Hewitt this year in the hope they were a match made in heaven.

Meeting for the first time on their wedding day, things didn’t get off to a smooth start as he joked about a “Bonnie and Clyde” kind of relationship with her bailing him out of prison.

However, they both went on to get to know each other better, with Bec dropping the words ‘I love you’ on the fourth commitment ceremony and Danny admitting he “had strong feelings” for her.

Are MAFS Australia’s Danny and Bec still together?

With MAFS having officially finished airing in Australia, we now know the fate of all the contestants. After having one of the most dramatic relationships in the 2026 series, we can now confirm Bec and Danny are no longer together.

While that probably doesn’t surprise many fans of the TV show, it’s fair to say the fall out of this couple has been just as explosive as the dinner parties from this year.

Walking away from Bec at Final Vows, Danny confessed he saw his wife as more of a friend than a romantic partner.

The sassy bride declared her love for the British groom after a tumultuous time, but he can’t handle her drama anymore and decides to call it quits during his final speech.

She breaks down in tears and becomes inconsolable in the woods (where they are meant to be re-cementing their love), which causes an emotional reaction from Danny.

He brands their split “brutal” but stays firm in his decision, although he did later admit that if she had been ‘softer’ throughout the experiment his feelings may have grown.

Danny was later caught out in some pretty terrible off-air footage where he insulted and slammed Bec, saying he couldn’t fall in love with her in a “month of Sundays”.

At the dinner party reunion, he also said some harsh things about his fellow contestant Steph who he had been texting after the show wrapped.

After hearing all the awful things he had said about her, Bec said in a podcast: “I think Danny did a really good job keeping me at bay behind the scenes, saying his real thoughts to the camera, and getting me to the end.

“I’m embarrassed that I allowed myself to get to that point. I’m embarrassed that I didn’t act on that gut feeling a little bit more. I won’t ever be in a position where I allow my heart to fall in love with someone who was telling me things and not showing me things.”

Danny apologised for his language and behaviour in an Instagram video and was also reunited with Bec on the MAFS after show where things got heated once more.

We can’t see these two even becoming friends after their time on MAFS.
