Love Island fans spot unexpected romance after emotional dumping exit

Love Island viewers are already predicting a fresh romance could be on the cards following Robyn’s shock departure from the villa. This Wednesday’s (10 June) episode saw Robyn become the first islander to be dumped after newest bombshells Simba and Tommy were tasked with saving two of the three vulnerable girls left standing after a dramatic recoupling.

Newcastle-native Tommy ultimately chose to couple up with Ellie, while Simba picked Angelista, leaving Robyn single and therefore dumped from the island. While the exit left several islanders emotional, fans were particularly interested in one interaction that unfolded in the aftermath.

As the villa processed Robyn’s departure, Lorenzo was seen checking in on Ellie and offering her support following the dramatic evening. The moment quickly caught the attention of fans at home, many of whom are now convinced the pair could eventually gravitate towards one another despite being coupled up with other people.

A viewer wrote: “I kinda like Lorenzo and Ellie together I won’t lie”, while another added: “Ellie and Lorenzo are defo those best friends that end up getting married”. A third continued: “this Lorenzo Ellie friends to lovers plate”. One final fan then gushed: “ELLIE AND LORENZO ARE SO CUTE I LOVE THEM”.

The theory comes after Lorenzo’s complicated love triangle with Priya and Jasmine, which dominated recent episodes. Lorenzo previously shared a secret kiss with Priya in the Hideaway, creating tension with Jasmine, who he had been coupled up with since the beginning of his Love Island journey.

However, Jasmine and Lorenzo were finally separated this Wednesday after Kavan made his intentions clear by choosing Jasmine to be his villa partner. Single and vulnerable, Lorenzo eventually picked Priya, though displayed some hesitation as he considered partnering up with Yasmin

In other scenes aired this Wednesday, Ope’s reaction to being picked by Victoria raised eyebrows. The performer was keen to get his relationship with Angelista back on track when the bombshell decided to couple up with him.

Hoping to move past the awkwardness, Ope pulled Victoria for a private chat, apologising for how he handled her decision and insisted that his frustration was aimed at the circumstances rather than Victoria herself. But she remained unconvinced.

Pointing out that he appeared visibly annoyed after the recoupling, she challenged his explanation before ultimately shutting the conversation down. With Victoria clearly unimpressed by the apology, questions remained over whether the pair can build any sort of romantic connection moving forward.

However, things appeared to shift when Angelista and Simba shared a steamy kiss on the terrace. Ope quietly seethed while Samraj attempted to calm him down, proving his connection with Angelista may not be completely over. A first look at this Thursday’s (11 June) instalment of the ITV2 series has teased an explosive confrontation between Simba and Ope is due to air.

Robyn is the first islander to be officially dumped from Love Island, though she isn’t the first single to leave Mallorca. Prior to her elimination, former bombshell George Knight left the show due to family reasons.
