Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel used his opening monologue Tuesday to rip Donald Trump over the president’s calls for his cancellation.

Kimmel, 57, had just returned to his show after a two-month summer vacation when he took aim at Trump over comments the commander-in-chief made during the host’s hiatus.

In July, Trump posted on Truth Social that Kimmel would be the ‘NEXT to go,’ following news that CBS was cancelling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

After spending nearly 10 minutes lampooning the president, Kimmel told the audience that the post was ‘alarming, because I don’t know if you know this – but Jimmy Kimmel is me.’

‘Oh, you delicate, chubby little teacup. Did we hurt your feelings? You want us to be canceled because we make jokes about you?’ he said.

‘I thought you were against cancel culture? I thought that was, like, their whole thing? When did you become so woke?’

The host went on to announce that his show would temporarily relocate to Brooklyn, from September 29 through October 3, to be filmed in front of a live studio audience.

It’s the seventh time the ABC shows has done so, and Colbert has been billed as one of the week’s featured guests.

‘Unfortunately for Frosty the Snowflake, the only place we are going is to New York,’ Kimmel continued.

‘We have a lot to talk about. If you’re the White House intern in charge of strategically unplugging the president’s TV, that’ll be a good night to do it.’

Kimmel went on to address viral rumors that he was considering leaving the country after obtaining Italian citizenship.

‘Just to be clear, I’m not moving to Italy. I never said that. This is where I live. This is my country. I have no intention of running away from it,’ he said.

‘Especially because of Donald Trump.’

He added: ‘I would move into Mar-a-Lago if I could, just to drive him insane. Okay?

Kimmel’s contract is reportedly up in May, Colbert’s last month on the air. CBS said it made the decision to cancel Colbert’s show for financial reasons.

Critics, including Kimmel, claimed the move was designed to appease Trump and the network’s new owners.

Sources reportedly said that Colbert’s show was losing $40 million a year.

‘The idea that Stephen Colbert’s show was losing $40 million a year is beyond nonsensical,’ Kimmel said in an interview with Variety.

‘These alleged insiders who supposedly analyze the budgets of the shows – I don’t know who they are, but I do know they don’t know what they’re talking about.

‘Suddenly he’s losing $40 million a year? I will tell you, the first 10 years I did the show, they claimed we weren’t making any money – and we had five times as many viewers on ABC as we do now.

‘Who knows what’s true? All I know is they keep paying us And that’s kind of all you need to know.’

Sources who spoke with CNBC said Kimmel’s show remained profitable.
