Did you guess who it was?

After six weeks of energetic singing and extravagant costumes, the 2026 edition of The Masked Singer UK has come to an end. In a jam-packed finale we had three duets, double the number of unmaskings and, of course, a new winner crowned.
After several guesses, it turned out that Sugababes member Keisha Buchanan was in fact the figure performing as Moth, and it was a golden night for the singer as she was confirmed as the champion for the season.
“I have been a fan of the show for many years,” she said. “I absolutely loved it. I really started to embrace Moth! I haven’t done many things by myself, so this was so necessary to bring me out of my shell.”
“Maya Jama kept guessing it was me and from quite early on so I was excited to see everyone’s reaction who disagreed with her! I was smiling the entire time. There were so many amazing singers on the show… It felt amazing.”

Buchanan, whose final performance was a rendition of Rihanna’s ‘Only Girl (In the World)’, beat Conkers and Toastie to the coveted prize, with the pair finishing in second and third place respectively.
Conkers was eventually revealed to be This Morning and Tipping Point presenter Ben Shephard, while singer and former EastEnders star Mica Paris was confirmed to be underneath the Toastie costume.
“The experience has been remarkable,” said Shephard, who appeared as a guest panellist in the fourth episode of the season. “I loved that side of it. As a rule, I think I’m pretty straight down the line.
“I have been interviewing all the unmasked celebrities on This Morning. They have no idea I’m on the show and still in it! It’s an isolating experience going on this show as you can’t tell anyone. I can’t wait to be able to talk to everyone about it.”
Paris, who portrayed Ellie Nixon in EastEnders, added: “It was so gruelling but beautiful… I really did this for my grandkids because I wanted them to see me being silly, because I’m always silly with them and I wanted them to see Nanna.”

Prior to the unmaskings, each act performed a duet with a brand new one-off contestant, with Lionfish, Snail and Pufferfish performing alongside Moth, Conkers and Toastie respectively.
After all three performances, Lionfish was revealed to be singer-songwriter Will Young, while Snail was musician Andrea Corr. Last but not least, Pufferfish was season six champion Samantha Barks.
The Masked Singer UK airs on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
