The Prince of Wales is heading to America for the 250th anniversary of independence and the World Cup

Princess Kate has been tipped to join Prince William on a landmark trip to the USA after last venturing across the pond in 2022.

The Prince of Wales has already scheduled a July trip to the US, during which he also plans to support England at the World Cup.

King Charles will fly to the US in April, following Donald Trump’s historic second state visit to the UK last September.

The Government hope the trips will strengthen relations with the President and support a key trade deal currently on “pause”.

Kate has been tipped to join William in the US.

President Trump was said to be “in awe” of the Princess of Wales when they spent time together at a state dinner in Britain.

According to The Times, William’s trip to the US could be a joint one with his wife.

“With her health apparently improving, there has been a suggestion that Kate and William will make a joint foreign visit this year, perhaps to the US for the 250th anniversary of independence,” the publication reported.

A royal source added: “While it may seem a completely ridiculous comparison, it reminds me a bit of dear old David and Victoria Beckham.

“I think the public can spot a genuine relationship and a genuinely strong marriage and two people who fit well together.

“How strong they are individually, but also as a couple. And I think that’s probably a great asset.”

Kate’s last major overseas trip was with her husband on the 2022 Caribbean tour for the Platinum Jubilee, followed by a trip to Boston for Earthshot.

In 2024, she announced she had been diagnosed with cancer.

Kate’s last venture abroad was to the Caribbean in 2022.

Towards the end of that year, she announced that she had finished her course of “preventative chemotherapy”.

The Princess of Wales said she would start undertaking a “light programme” of public engagements.

On January 14, 2025, the mother of three confirmed that she was in remission.

Kensington Palace has not issued a statement regarding the proposed US visit, but reports indicate that it has not yet extended all formal invitations.

Back at home, the couple’s country residence may have a wellness retreat built next door to it, depending on the outcome of a planning application.

A new woodland spa development could soon emerge on the Houghton Estate in Norfolk, situated adjacent to Anmer Hall, the cherished countryside home of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Planning applications have been lodged with King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Council for the proposed wellness retreat, which would transform part of the historic estate into a nature-centred sanctuary.

The development aims to offer visitors an immersive experience in nature, with the planning statement noting: “Guests are encouraged to experience their natural environment, to slow down, relax, absorb and enjoy the surrounding tranquillity.”
