Love Island’s Ty looks unrecognisable as his face swells after hair transplant op

LOVE Island’s Ty Isherwood is feeling the effects of his hair transplant surgery as he recovers at home.

The 24-year-old reality TV star barely looked like himself with a swollen face and red marks on his head.

Ty, who rose to fame on Love Island last year, underwent the procedure in Manchester last week and was now cooped up at home in recovery.

The reality star filmed himself walking around the house with the red marks from the surgery visible on his head and his face very swollen.

“I’ve actually forgot what it’s like to go outside. Been living in this f****ing track suit for four days, and it’s 26 degrees,” he told his followers.

“So I’ll go shut every single shutter because if not, this f***ing house will be red hot and that’s not good.”

Ty captioned the Snapchat video: “Might take myself on a walk with an umbrella.”

He had previously admitted hair loss was something that has impacted his confidence for years, so he decided to bite the bullet and have a hair transplant procedure.

Ty, who is in a relationship with Love Island co-star Angel Swift, told fans the procedure had gone well.

“The transplant itself took about 6 and a half hours, it was completely pain free,” he said.

“The only thing I didn’t like was the local anaesthetic in the donor area at the back of the head. I’m not gonna sugarcoat that, it wasn’t very nice. But, once you’re over that, the rest of it was fine.”

The donor area refers to the back and sides of the head where local anaesthetic is injected for a hair transplant procedure. Local anaesthetic is also injected into the recipient area where the hair will be transplanted.

Ty added in the video: “For men, I think that losing your hair is a tough pill to swallow. For me, it was, I think it has affected my confidence for a couple of years. I’ve not been able to go about my day without actually thinking what my hair looks like.”

Urging his male followers to take the plunge if they are considering a transplant, Ty then said: “I wish I’d had it done sooner, I think it’d have put my mind at ease. I just feel so much more relieved now it’s done.”
