Watch terrifying moment Jeremy Clarkson struggles for breath as he cuts down tree & ignores doc’s orders after surgery

THIS is the terrifying moment Jeremy Clarkson was left struggling for breath after chopping down a tree and ignoring doctors orders.

The 66-year-old suffered a heart scare in October 2024 and was rushed to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he was told he was just “days away” from a potentially lethal heart attack.

Jeremy’s breathing became ragged as he got to his feet
Following his health scare, Jeremy was told to avoid driving for a week and not to do any manual labour for six weeks, but he couldn’t resist getting involved in some tasks on the farm.

At one point in the second episode of series five, which dropped on Prime Video today, Jeremy decides to go and cut down a tree for his Christmas grotto at his pub.

He lies down on the ground and starts cutting the tree with a handsaw but is soon forced to stop as his breathing becomes ragged.

He eventually gives up and with pain etched on his face as he stands back up, he struggles to regulate his breathing for a few moments.

Between breaths he admits to the film crew: “I shouldn’t have done that.”

It isn’t the only time during the new series’ first four episodes that Jeremy defies doctor’s orders.

He travels to London for a farming rally near Whitehall, where he ends up making a speech.

But afterwards he admits: “Doctor went mad at me last night. ‘You know we told you to have six weeks rest? It meant sitting by the fire eating minestrone soup.’

“I haven’t been doing that.”

Jeremy also gets a telling off from his girlfriend Lisa Hogan, after he tries to go to the pub to deal with some travellers who have taken over the car park.

As he tries to reverse his car, Lisa films him as she goes up to the open passenger window and demands: “Where are you going?”

He replies: “I’ve got to get over there, it’s chaos.”

Lisa rages: “You’re not going to the pub! You are not a diplomat and you have a dickie heart! Out!”

As he tries to protest she tells him: “You’re not going Jeremy, come on let’s go, park that car back there now.”
