THE launch date of I’m A Celebrity South Africa has just been revealed, as well as when viewers can expect to crown their winner.

The announcement was made on X by the official Super TV channel, sharing the dates and recapping the show’s lineup.

It said: “NEW I’m A Celeb South Africa, the second champions edition of the show filmed late last year, is set to launch on Monday 6th April.

“It’ll air weeknights and finish with a LIVE final from London, where viewers choose the winner, on Friday April 24th.”

The post concluded with a list of the I’m A Celeb All Stars featuring in the series, including David Haye, Jimmy Bullard, Seann Walsh and Harry Redknapp.

Scarlett Moffatt, Adam Thomas, Mo Farah and Beverley Callard will also be starring on the show.

As Ant McPartlin revealed in the sneak peek first look of the show at the end of last year, the challenges are set to be “quite a lot harder” than the normal series.

The trailer for the programme showed that as well as jumping out of planes, the celebrities will be launched off a hanging metal platform before dangling in the air.

There will also be mid-air agility courses where the stars have to race against one another to earn stars.

As with the Australian series, there will be plenty of creepy crawlies, snakes and animals.

But throw balancing tasks into the mix, as well as bouts of rock climbing and brand new water challenges varying from the famous Celebrity Cyclone, it’s bound to put the celebrities to the test.

The show has been pre-recorded, meaning fans won’t have the chance to vote for their favourite campmates, or choose who takes part in trials throughout the episodes.

Trials are decided within the camp and winning comes down to how skilled you are at the challenges.

However during the live final in London, viewers will have a chance to cast their vote and help to crown the show’s King or Queen of the Jungle.

The show is already tipped to be filled with drama, after The Sun revealed last month that Adam Thomas clashed with former footballer Jimmy Bullard while taking part in a bushtucker trial.

A source said: “Adam totally lost it.

“He started screaming at Jimmy, calling him a c*** and every other name under the sun.

“It was completely unexpected and deeply shocked the other campmates, including Jimmy who didn’t see it coming.

“Adam is intensely competitive and was taking his jungle return very seriously.

“He was frustrated by what happened in the Bushtucker Trial and lost his temper.”

The explosive row — witnessed by Ant and Dec Donnelly — is understood to have been over a high-stakes challenge, with one of the stars pushed to yell “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here”.
