THE BEST PART OF WORKING WITH CHILDREN… 💥 HAMISH TAIT’S RESURFACED NEWSLETTER LEAVES PARENTS SICK-ENED AS NEW DETAILS EMERGE
Shocking new details have been revealed about an accused childcare predator who is facing more than 300 child abuse charges with the offences spanning over a decade.
Former Sydney childcare worker Hamish Tait, 35, has been charged with 329 offences allegedly committed over 16 years, including producing child abuse material, filming children without consent, sexually touching children under 10 and using children to produce child abuse material.
The identities of 136 of the victims are known to police, with 16 yet to be identified.
It is alleged the offences occurred from 2009 to 2025 across 62 childcare centres Tait worked at, or attended, across Sydney.
Tait describes ‘best part’ of working with kids
A newsletter from a childcare centre where Tait worked has revealed a chilling insight into the accused predator.
Tait, who referred to himself as “Mr Hamish”, wrote about himself in a “staff in focus” email to parents at Sydney’s Fit Kidz Putney centre in 2015.
“You will find me playing in the Cheeky Monkeys room where I teach and learn as the Team Leader,” the newsletter reads.

“The best part of working with children for me is watching them connect with the world around them.
“Watching moments where a child truly understands a concept or exhibits pure love towards another is what makes me come to work.
“Seeing their spirits grow through these events each day is truly a humbling thing to be a part of.”
Tait also revealed details about his personal life and what he enjoyed doing on weekends.
“On the weekend, you will find me … at a market, at a beach, playing with our dog, four-wheel driving and so much more, all of which give us a chance to experience this amazing earth with smiles and love,” he said.

He said he also owned a portrait and landscape photography business and was a volunteer firefighter in the brigade in his local area.
“I also have a passion for the Aboriginal cultures across Australia and always look for every opportunity to be a part of something where I can learn more about a different culture,” he said.
“Each of these things I feel connects me to people and the earth in some way and those are the two most important things in my life.”
Police appeal for help identifying potential victims
Australian Federal Police have released images of children’s clothing located on devices seized during the investigation, hoping parents or carers will recognise them.
One shows a puffer vest with a dinosaur pattern likely taken at a Rouse Hill child care centre in June 2023.
Another is distinctive shorts and t-shirt with an animal pattern, also believed taken at a Rouse Hill centre between February 2020 and March 2024.
Also, a two-tone shirt likely taken at a Putney childcare centre in January 2018.

Police allege key details to identify children lie within the more than two million files found on 25 devices seized from Tait’s Glossodia home.
“Every image may contain a clue that helps identify a child,” AFP Detective Acting Inspector Emmanuel Tsardoulias said.
Tsardoulias said as of Wednesday police have spoken with two more families.
“As a parent myself, I mean, the impact on these families can’t be understated,” Tsardoulias said.
Since news on the operation first came to light, investigators say they’ve had more than 300 calls from the public as they work to try to identify more potential victims.
