Although gaining fame thanks to his talent, Jelly Roll was more than a singer and songwriter, he was also a father. Throughout the singer’s time in the spotlight, he constantly gave back to the community and offered to share his past with those finding themselves on the wrong side of the law. But outside of his community service, Jelly Roll was a proud father who always looked for ways to lift his children up. And with Sunday marking another Father’s Day, he decided to celebrate the day with a touching video that showed just how much he cherished each and every memory.
Sharing a post on Instagram, Jelly Roll offered fans a look into his life as a father. No matter the time of day or event, the singer was always smiling as his kids danced around him. Able to see the world through their eyes, Jelly Roll seemed the happiest when he was near his family. He captioned the post, writing, “The greatest gift god has ever given me was becoming a father. All these songs I hear people write about their children are really lovey-dovey, and sometimes I felt like I was the only parent in the world who was petrified of passing my generational curses onto my kids.”
Jelly Roll Not Letting Trauma Dictate Fatherhood
With Jelly Roll always willing to share the truth, he insisted, “It scared the s**t out of me.” He added, “And I didn’t think anyone had written a song about that, so to all the fathers out there who have worried that your trauma would affect your child I dedicate this to you today.”
Jelly Roll ended his message with a “Happy Father’s Day” to all those dads out there just loving the life of fatherhood. And given his musical talents, the country star added a little music to the video with “My Cross.”

Gaining over 100,000 likes, fans also shared their Father’s Day messages:
“Breaking generational curses & so proud of you jelly! God is GOOD”
“Oh wow what a beautiful song it speaks to my heart Happy Father’s Day sending you lots of respect “
“Happy Father’s Day, man. The only perfect Dad is our Heavenly Father. Thank God we have Him to guide us. Also, this song is fire. “
