The teenager was among about 80 of the 116 injured who remained in hospital four weeks after the disaster.
A young man has died from injuries sustained in the New Year’s Eve Crans-Montana bar blaze, bringing the death toll of one of the worst disasters in modern Swiss history to 41.
The 18-year-old Swiss man died in a Zurich hospital on Saturday, the Canton of Valais Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed.
Two sources told Reuters the victim had lived near Lausanne.
On New Year’s Eve, party fountains in the Le Constellation bar at the Alpine ski resort ignited soundproofing foam elements on the ceiling.
The flames spread rapidly, and many people were unable to escape in time via the narrow staircase from the basement.
Investigation files show the ceiling foam had never drawn any complaints from the Crans-Montana municipal safety officer.

Most of those killed were teenagers. About 80 of the 116 injured suffered severe burns and remain in hospital more than four weeks after the devasting fire.
The public prosecutor’s office is investigating possible charges of negligent homicide, bodily harm and arson.
Bar owner Jacques Moretti, 49, was released on bail earlier this month, a move that has strained relations with neighbouring Italy which lost citizens in the blaze.
Moretti has not been charged but remains under investigation and is said to be co-operating with authorities.

On Saturday, hundreds of people marched alongside bereaved parents through the lakeside town of Lutry near Lausanne, carrying a large banner demanding “truth and justice”.
“Today, we are just asking for justice and truth and afterwards we will mourn,” Laetitia Brodard-Sitre, whose 17-year-old son Arthur died in the fire, told a crowd of people carrying white roses.
Several victims of the New Year’s Eve fire disaster lived in Lutry, and many junior players from the local football club were in the Le Constellation bar when the blaze broke out. Seven members of the club were among those who lost their lives.
The fire disaster in the Valais resort is one of the worst tragedies in Switzerland’s recent history.
A national day of mourning was held on January 9 in memory of the victims.
