Strictly Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara shares ‘sad’ announcement minutes into live show
Strictly Come Dancing host Janette Manrara left one professional dancer disappointed as she made an annoucement on the BBC Two spin-off

Strictly Come Dancing devotees were hit with a “sad” update from Janette Manrara on Wednesday’s episode of It Takes Two (10th December).
The presenter was joined by Strictly semi-finalists Amber Davies and her dance partner Nikita Kuzmin, who opened up about their recent dance-off scare.
With another celeb and their pro partner given the boot, only four pairs are left standing in the BBC One contest. Ex-Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope and his partner Katya Jones found themselves in the bottom two after their musical week performance, alongside reality TV starlet Amber and Nikita.
After a salsa to West Side Story’s Dance At The Gym, the judges decided it was curtains for Lewis. Amber, who charmed with a Charleston to Guys And Dolls’ Sit Down You’re Rockin’ The Boat, will join Balvinder Sopal, George Clarke, and Karen Carney in Saturday’s semi-finals.

Janette Manrara kicked off the latest episode of the Strictly spin-off, It Takes Two, with the bittersweet announcement that the series is nearing its end, leaving one pro dancer feeling blue, reports Wales Online.

Facing the camera, she broke the news: “I’m sorry, but I have got some sad news. There are fewer than two weeks of this series left.”
Nikita then made his entrance, looking glum as he lamented, “Oh no, Jeanette”, before stamping his feet in disappointment.
“Oh, I know, I know, Nikita”, Jeanette consoled, “But don’t feel down because we all here at It Takes Two are going to pick you up with a mid-week boost.”

Out of the four celebs still in the race for the Glitterball trophy, only George Clarke and Karen Carney have managed to dodge the dreaded dance-off.
Despite George leading the pack in the betting stakes since the first week, many bookies are now tipping ex-England football star Karen as the new favourite to clinch the win.
The remaining four duos will strut their stuff in next weekend’s semi-final, set to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 18:35pm on Saturday (December 13), with the results show following at 19:45pm on Sunday.
Each pair will showcase two fresh routines, and viewers can look forward to performances from Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue and boyband Five.
