Adam Thomas’ wife brings fans inside the ‘best bank holiday’ after controversial I’m A Celebrity final

The former Emmerdale actor was all smiles as he enjoyed some time away with his family

Adam Thomas’ wife has brought fans inside the couple’s ‘best bank holiday’ just over a week after he won the controversial I’m A Celebrity South Africa final.

Former Emmerdale actor Adam was voted the winner by public vote during the live final of the I’m A Celebrity spin-off towards the end of last month. The live final saw him accused of being ‘abusive, aggressive and intimidating’ by former footballer Jimmy Bullard.

Adam previously claimed that David pushed him to his limits and ‘broke him’ during their time in camp. On top of this, Adam had a row with campmate Jimmy for almost compromising his time on the show by quitting a trial that decided which celebrities would continue in camp.

With Jimmy claiming Adam dropped ‘c-bombs’ which were not aired, the actor responded by saying he took ‘full responsibility’ for his actions, which he apologised for, and said he has ‘nothing but love for Jimmy’.

One person who has had Adam’s back throughout him being in the headlines is his wife Caroline Thomas, who he has been married to since 2017 and shares two children with. She previously wrote on Instagram: “Our Legend, Our King. What should have been a night of celebration for everyone, turned into a glimpse of a real jungle, watching a pack of vultures attack! I have never ever seen anything like the vile display that was demonstrated live on national television last night, on what is supposed to be a loved family show full of laughter and fun!

“Not one bit of that was fun, or ‘banter,’ as a wife my heart is breaking and I will forever be horrified at what I had to sit and watch my husband go through. Even though Adam, the kindest, most loving person was breaking inside, he somehow found a strength to stay calm, composed and once again stand up for himself.

“So congratulations my baby…on continuing to stay true to yourself, congratulations on not only winning the show, but winning the hearts of the nation. You showed everyone exactly what a real man should be, and the kind of values every parent should aim to raise their children with poise, dignity, empathy, honesty and simply a big heart.”

She added: “You changed the narrative, Nice guys DON’T finish last! They come out on top! Never ever let anyone tear you down, I am forever proud to call you my Husband and Teddy and Elsie call you their Daddy!

“So glad to close this chapter, one day we will look back and see how much strength this has brought you, until then I’m honoured to have the pleasure to hold your hand and be by your side. When you’re ready you will get the celebration you missed out on celebrating YOU surrounded by the people who love you and the ones who matter. Love you always.”

With the dust beginning to settle on the I’m A Celebrity final, Caroline took to Instagram to reveal that she, Adam and their kids, son Teddy, 11, and seven-year-old daughter Elsie-Rose. The family headed off to Carden Park, a luxury country hotel near Chester, Cheshire.

Boasting luxury stays, world-class spa experiences, award-winning dining, championship golf and thrilling activities, the resort spans across 1,000 acres of Cheshire countryside. Snaps shared by Caroline showed that they had a ball.

The Thomas family made the most of their time away, taking on archery, quad bikes, segways and posing for several heartwarming selfies together. Adam appeared to be taken by an adorable horse during their stay.

She captioned the post: “The BEST bank holiday we could have ever asked for. We spent the night at @cardenpark although we didn’t make the famous Spa because we had the kids with us we more than made up for it with lots of family activities!

“Archery, Mini Quadbikes, the zip line (We left that to Adam and Ted ) Swimming, Segways and lots of food! Just what we needed! Oh and Adam now wants a horse. Gutted the kids are back to school tomorrow!!! Does any other parents just love their kids being off.”

The comments section of Caroline’s post saw her and Adam’s fans rushing to have their say on the weekend break and send their love to the family amid their turbulent few weeks.
