Nobody saw it coming. Not even the alligators.
When Happy Gilmore 2 hit Netflix, fans expected golf balls, bad tempers, and Bob Barker jokes.
What they didn’t expect? Eminem heckling Adam Sandler, then getting yeeted into a lake by a bunch of angry golfers — and THEN attacked by reptiles.
And no, we’re not making this up.
“You JACKASS!” – A Callback for the Ages
Eminem’s role in the movie is short, savage, and instantly iconic.
He appears out of nowhere during a tournament, rocking a bucket hat and dad-jeans energy, then yells the immortal line:
“You JACKASS!”
If that sounds familiar, it should — because Em plays the son of Donald, the original heckler from Happy Gilmore (1996). You know, the guy who shouted at Happy until Happy snapped and tried to fight him with a golf club.
Now, two decades later, his trash-talking legacy lives on through Slim Shady himself.
But It Doesn’t End There…
After the insult, Happy (Sandler) pauses, squints, and says,
“Didn’t your dad get banned from Augusta?”
Eminem: “My dad’s dead, bro. Great Sizzler in the sky. But he told me you still suck.”
Cut to: Happy’s entourage tackling Eminem and throwing him into a nearby lake.
Then — because apparently this is National Geographic meets Netflix — a swarm of gators charges at him like they’ve been waiting 20 years for revenge.
You literally cannot make this up.
Why Eminem? Why Now?
According to Sandler, the idea hit during a writing session.
“We were thinking of cameos, and someone goes, ‘What if Eminem is the heckler’s kid?’ We all lost it,” Sandler told The Dan Patrick Show.
“We sent the idea over. Next day, he’s in. No hesitation.”
Not only did Eminem accept, he reportedly filmed multiple takes with wild improvised lines, some of which had the cast “screaming” between scenes.
One crew member said:
“We had to cut half his material. It was too funny, but also… terrifying.”
Fans Are Losing Their Minds
As soon as the film dropped, social media went full meltdown.
“Eminem got beat up by golfers and eaten by gators… this might be the best film of the year.”
“He came outta nowhere like it was a rap battle… and left like it was National Geographic.”
“Give that man an Oscar, or at least a towel.”
Some even joked that this was the sequel to 8 Mile nobody expected: “Swamp Mile.”
Other Wild Cameos in the Film
And Eminem isn’t alone. Happy Gilmore 2 is packed with surprises:
Post Malone as a stoned caddy who thinks he’s in a karaoke bar
Guy Fieri, who hosts a golf-themed food truck war
Ben Stiller, reprising his evil nursing home character — but now with a flamethrower
Rory McIlroy and Jack Nicklaus — real golf legends — trying to survive the mayhem
How to Watch Right Now
🎬 Happy Gilmore 2 is streaming exclusively on Netflix.
