Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were said to be left unhappy after attending Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party. The Duke of Sussex was reportedly left unimpressed when he and Meghan weren’t given the same method of avoiding the paparazzi outside Jeff Bezo’s home in Beverly Hills.

Beyonce was said to be the only celebrity allowed to drive up to the property, which would stop the waiting photographers from seeing her, while Meghan and Harry had to walk up the driveway like everyone else.

Richard Eden in his column Daily Confidential: “As a member of the Royal Family, the Duke of Sussex is used to being at the top of the social ladder. In Hollywood, however, Harry is learning others are on higher rungs.”

Meanwhile, Meghan was also said to be left feeling awkward as she came across comedian Chris Rock at the party, with rumours swirling that he made fun of her during the event.

Chris famously hit out at Meghan as he hit back at her claims that the Royl Family were concerned about her son Archie’s skin colour before he was born, branding it “in-law s***”.

He said his 2023 comedy show Selective Outrage, which was broadcast live on Netflix: ”

Like, who is this girl Meghan Markle? Seems like a nice lady – just complaining. Like didn’t she hit the light-skinned lottery?”

He then went on to mock her claims to Oprah Winfrey during her interview in 2021, saying as Markle: “They’re so racist, they’re so racist.” Rock then said: “Some of that s*** she went through was not racism; it was just some in-law s***.”

Rock continued: “Sometimes, it’s just some in-law s*** because she’s complaining, I’m like ‘What the f*** is she talking about?’”

He added: “‘Oprah, they’re so racist they wanted to know how brown the baby was going to be’ – I’m like, ‘That’s not racist, because even Black people want to know how brown the baby going to be.’”

Rock claimed to know what Markle was “going through”, stating: “I know her dilemma: Black girl trying to be accepted by her white in-laws. Oh, it’s hard. It’s so hard, it’s very hard– but it ain’t as hard as a white girl trying to be accepted by her Black in-laws. Now that s*** is really hard.”
