t’s rare to have a week so jam-packed with exciting new releases across some of the biggest streamers, but viewers are well and truly spoiled over the next few days. From the return of a much-loved historical drama to a dark Irish comedy and a romance inspired by American ‘royalty’, here are the five must-watch TV shows to binge this week on Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video.

The Artful Dodger season 2

The highly anticipated return of Disney+’s Dickensian spin-off sees Jack Dawkins back on our screens for more action, drama and romance. Season two finds Jack once again getting into mischief with his old pal Fagin, while Port Victory’s new lawman sets his sights on hunting him down.

The series proved a hit when it debuted in 2023, and the new season promises to be even bigger, teasing “new characters and locations with more thrills, humour, heart, invention and deception than ever”. Fans will also be keen to see what lies ahead for Jack and Belle following her worrying aortic aneurysm at the end of season one.

The Artful Dodger season two lands on Disney+ on Tuesday 10 February.

For crime thriller fans, Prime Video’s compelling detective drama returns with its second instalment. Set in Washington D.C., the series follows Alex Cross, a homicide detective and forensic psychologist with an uncanny ability to get inside the minds of killers.

Based on James Patterson’s bestselling Alex Cross novels, the show was a major success when it launched in 2024, drawing around 40 million viewers in its first 20 days. With Aldis Hodge back in the lead role and another twist-filled mystery promised, season two looks set to continue that momentum.

Cross season two lands on Prime Video on Wednesday 11 February.

How to Get to Heaven from Belfast

Derry Girls creator Lisa McGee is back with this highly anticipated Irish dramedy-thriller. Starring Sinéad Keenan, Caoilfhionn Dunne and Roísín Gallagher, the eight-part series follows three childhood friends who reunite and travel across Ireland after learning that a fourth friend has died.

As the trio set out to uncover long-buried truths from their past, the series blends humour, heartbreak and suspense. With McGee at the helm and producers behind hits such as Outnumbered and Trigger Point involved, it looks set to be a standout new release.
