KATE Ferdinand spent the night in fear for her family’s safety after the ongoing Iranian missile strikes on Dubai.
The former Towie star relocated to the UAE last year with her hubby and football pundit, Rio Ferdinand, and is one of countless Brits caught up in the conflict.

Iran launched a barrage of rockets at nations across the Middle East after vowing revenge for the US and Israel’s huge blitz on the regime.
As the United Arab Emirate’s top holiday hot spot, Dubai has become a sought after travel destination for celebrities and influencers.
Kate told her fans they spent “a very scary night” sleeping in their basement.
“Thank you for all of your messages and sorry for the silence, I haven’t wanted to worry you all I just haven’t been able to find the words. We are safe,” she said on Instagram.
“The government are doing an amazing job of keeping it that way and despite my nerves I feel we are in very safe hands.”
She added: “We are hoping for a calmer evening tonight, last night was very scary. Although Cree and Shae loved it as they couldn’t believe we all got a sleepover in the basement.
“Thank you for all of your prayers, this whole experience is very eye-opening and I am praying for anyone affected. Lots of love to everyone.”
Kate and Rio moved to Dubai last year with their children Cree, five, and Shae, two, and Rio’s 14-year-old daughter, Tia, from his first marriage.
Rio’s oldest two sons from that marriage, Lorenz, 19, and Tate, 17, remained in the UK to develop their football careers.
As well as keeping her fans update on the family’s safety, Kate also reached out to other celebs in Dubai caught up in the violence, including The Apprentice’s Luisa Zissman.
Kate left a series of red love heart emojis underneath Luisa’s own post about how her family were keeping safe in Dubai.
Luisa spoke of how the family had planned to head out to the park when the Iranian missiles started hitting Dubai, so they retreated to the basement to stay safe.
She and two of her daughters, Indigo Esme, nine and Clementine, seven, moved earlier this year to join her millionaire husband Andrew Collins.
Her eldest daughter Dixie, 15, with ex-husband Olivier Zissman, is staying in the UK to finish her schooling.
She also showed fans how she had set up her basement to take shelter, including setting up some sleeping space for friends who were going to stay with them.
Luisa said: “So surreal and scary. I do faith that UAE defence will keep us all safe.”
