FAMILY CHARGE
Brother and dad of Sikh killer charged with weapon offences after ‘knuckledusters, machete & swords found’

A SIKH killer who stabbed a student to death has been charged alongside his dad and brother with multiple weapon offences.
Vickrum Digwa was yesterday jailed for life for the murder of 18-year-old Henry Nowak in Southampton.

The 23-year-old had used his “racism trump card” and lied to police, who arrested Henry as he lay dying.
Digwa now faces six counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a private place.
His dad Moga Singh, 52, and brother Gurpreet Digwa, 27, are accused of the same charges, while Gurpreet faces four additional counts.
These are possessing an offensive weapon, an asp, in a public place, possessing a prohibited weapon, an air rifle, possessing an axe in a public place, and possessing a knife, a kirpan, in a public place.

It comes after a flick knife, extendable baton, knuckledusters, a machete, swords and kusaris were allegedly found.
All of the offences are dated December 4, 2025 – the day after University of Southampton student Henry was killed.
The three defendants appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.
Harmail Gill, defending all three family members, asked for an adjournment of at least four weeks for both sides to consider the charges.

He told the court this would allow them to “be in a position where we are not arriving on the day of court not knowing what charges the Crown are going ahead with”.
Jennifer Pitt, chair of the magistrates, adjourned the proceedings until a further hearing on July 9 and released Singh and Gurpreet on unconditional bail until then.
It comes as Digwa’s mum Kiran Kaur, 53, awaits sentencing after she was convicted of assisting an offender after hiding the murder weapon at the family home.
Digwa knifed Henry five times in a random street attack using a ceremonial sword as the teenager made his way home from a night out.
When police arrived on the scene in Southampton, Digwa accused Henry of making racist remarks – causing officers to place Henry in handcuffs as he lay dying.
Bodycam footage shows Henry telling cops four times that he had been stabbed – only for one to say “I don’t think you have, mate”.
He tragically died just one hour after the video was taken.
The chilling case has sparked fury from the public and politicians, with Hampshire Police now being investigated by the IOPC.
Henry’s family gave moving victim impact statements yesterday as his mum Lucy Ross described the pain of his death as being “beyond anything I knew existed”.
Henry’s dad Mark told how he would be haunted forever by his son’s murder.
He also branded the way his son was treated as “degrading” and “inhumane” as he added: “Henry did not die with dignity. He did not die with the care he deserved.
“He lost consciousness before anyone believed him.”
