A MAFS 2026 Groom Was Spotted Selling His Reality TV Ring On FB Marketplace & Yeah, No Thanks

Married At First Sight (MAFS) Australia is truly done and dusted for 2026, and it looks like one groom from this year’s train wreck is officially getting rid of the memories by slogging his ring on Facebook Marketplace.

In a now-deleted Facebook Marketplace listing, 2026’s David Momoh was ready to forget about the whole shebang by selling his “MAFS Wedding Ring” for $2,500.

“Selling my MAFS wedding ring,” he wrote.

While he didn’t dish any deets about his time on the show or why he decided to sell it, the listing echoed the product information from the official Simon Curwood Custom Jeweller site.

“This uniquely designed band is something out of the ordinary. It has a brushed centre with polished, vertically spaced facets and heavily bevelled edges. Made from solid gold, it has a flat inner surface for a comfortable fit,” the listing read, followed by a link to the product.

It’s unclear if someone had bought the ring. However, the listing is no longer on David’s profile.

Just in case the ring was bought by a potential groom, I pray that it doesn’t carry the bad juju that followed David on MAFS.

To give you a quick recap, David was matched with Alissa Fay, and from day dot the pair lit headlines on fire after the bride forced him to get on his knee at the altar. Initially, David refused before eventually giving in, as Alissa wouldn’t go through with the marriage if he didn’t comply.

For the first half of the experiment, the pair were quite strong with David supporting Alissa throughout the copious amount of bullying she faced from the other brides. But towards the end of the experiment, things imploded, with the pair both taking off their rings ahead of Final Vows.

At Final Vows, David broke up with Alissa and coldly walked away from her when she began to read out her vows.

Speaking to PEDESTRIAN.TV, the 2026 groom said he walked away from his ex-wife because he “didn’t care” to hear what she had to say.

“It didn’t really do anything for me. I’m just more surprised she stood there and still read them out. I don’t know why you would do that. I don’t get it,” he dished.

“Knowing Alissa, she would have just done it herself. No one would have made her do that, there’s no way.”

So yeah. With that history, I’m not surprised that David is ridding himself of all of the MAFS juju.

Back in May, MAFS 2026 villain Gia Fleur sold her welling dress for $2k on Depop, citing that 30 per cent of the dosh would be going towards charity.

“I’m selling it because I don’t need the memories, and it is sitting in a closet collecting dust. I want it to go to someone who genuinely likes the dress and wants to wear it at their wedding. Or burn it if they hate me, whatever works. Either way, 30 per cent goes to charity,” Gia told Chattr.

At the end of the day, only one couple made it out of MAFS 2026, so I’m not surprised if all the castmates who had failed relationships started flogging off their MAFS memorabilia, if you can call it that.
