MAFS Australia: Who Is Gia Fleur’s New Boyfriend, Alan Wallace?

Anyone who watched this year’s season of Married At First Sight Australia will know that Scott McCristal and his bride Gia Fleur were not a match made in heaven.

Despite getting off to a strong start, things started to fall apart between the couple over the course of the experiment and they ultimately decided to break up and quit the show before the final vow ceremony. Unfortunately, throughout her time on the show Gia developed a reputation for being in the centre of the drama, which proved too much for Scott after a tumultuous homestay at his flat on the Gold Coast.

‘She pointed out a lot more when the cameras weren’t there,’ Scott has since said. ‘When someone tries to degrade you like that it makes you feel pretty shit to be honest.’ However, Gia blamed her rep on the edit, calling MAFS ‘Drama at First Sight’. She told Daily Mail Australia: ‘It’s just constant drama and constant telling us to stir more shit.’

‘I think people watch it and think, “Oh my God, she’s stirring the pot, she’s drama.” You don’t know behind the scenes how much we get told to do that.’

Fortunately, Gia has found someone off camera who appears to be all in – Alan Wallace.

Following her split from Scott, Gia is dating an electrician from Melbourne called Alan Wallace.

Alan is an ex-semi-professional Australian Football League player. If you are into Australian dating shows, you might recognise him from his stint on Love Triangle.

The pair actually met while filming MAFS Australia. Rumour has it, Alan used to date one of Scott’s exes and Gia reached out to him to try to ‘dig up some dirt on Scott’, she told Daily Mail Australia.

After meeting, she thought he was ‘kind of hot’, but nothing happened between them romantically until a few months later when they bumped into each other at an event and ended up kissing. ‘It was an immediate thing,’ she said. ‘As soon as I saw Alan, I was like, what the hell? Like, I don’t know. There was just something, like, undeniable. He felt it as well.’

As for how things are going now, Gia and Alan have already moved in together. He’s been spending time with her daughter and by the looks of their social media accounts (they have each other’s names in their Instagram bios) things are pretty serious. They even have matching tattoos of each other’s names.

What has Gia said about her new relationship?

‘It’s probably the healthiest relationship I’ve ever been in,’ Gia told the Mail. ‘I feel safe, so I don’t want to run away. He makes me feel reassured and loved and compliments me all the time and tells me he loves me. I’d never got that before.’
