I’M A Celebrity star Ashley Roberts broke her silence on Adam Thomas’ outburst last night.

During Wednesday night’s episode in her exit interview, Ashley hit out at “unfair” Jimmy Bullard after he called “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!” and momentarily sent Adam packing.

“Well, I mean, I obviously don’t know what was going on in his head,” Ashley said to Ant and Dec during her exit interview following getting the boot.

“You never know what someone’s really going through, unless they express it.

“But it just didn’t feel fair on Adam.”

Ashley added: “I was like, ‘Just get in there and get a little filthy’.”

Earlier this week in the jungle, Waterloo Road star Adam, 37, launched an expletive-ridden tirade against Jimmy, 47, after the footballer refused to take part in the latest trial.

Jimmy knew that by refusing to do the trial and saying “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!” would mean he and Adam would both get the boot.

Adam was left annoyed and upset, and quickly exploded at Jimmy.

Confronting Jimmy, he said: “Are you f***ing taking the p***?

“Are you taking the p***.”

Adam added: “I am in there getting covered in f***ing ants!”

Jimmy said to him: “Woah, woah, woah – calm down, that’s pathetic!”

Adam then called him a “p***k” as he stormed off set.

Erupting into a backstage fury, Adam could be heard shouting: “I’ve done all that… for him to say I’m A Celeb.”

Jimmy’s decision to forfeit the trial appeared to confirm that Adam would be forced to leave the camp.

However, Ant and Dec decided that the actor deserved to be thrown a lifeline.

They decided to give Adam another chance due to Jimmy’s outright refusal to do the challenge.

Dec later explained that he “could stay” if his fellow camp mates thought he was worthy of staying.

Each co-star voted that Adam could stay, though not all of them thought his reaction to the situation was right.
