WHITNEY Adebayo admitted that she broke a major Love Island rule before going on All Stars this year, as well as the heartbreaking reason she returned to the villa.

The stunner, who finished in fifth place alongside beau Yamen Sanders, sat with the Dare To Talk podcast to chat about her feelings before the show and why she decided to go back.

She began by contextualising how her life had felt rather all over the place, saying: “Last year was such a mixed up and f****d up year, you know when you lose yourself? I feel like I lost myself.”

Whitney then delved into chatting about Love Island and how she felt like she needed to go back to “find herself” again.

She continued: “Coming out of the villa the first time, it was like a whirlwind and then you’re trying to figure out the new version of you.

“[…] I feel like I left a lot of the fun parts of me and the lightheartedness and the smiley side of me in that villa.

“I feel like with everything that happened last year I genuinely had to go back to remember who I was before [that] moment triggered my life.”

Whitney has been involved in a lot of drama with her ex Lochan, including a messy court case.

The reality stars met on Love Island in 2023 but split last year, with the break-up ending in a very public row between them.

Afterwards Whitney admitted that she did something she wasn’t allowed to do before entering the villa – she let others know she was going on the show.

Referring to Millie, Scott, Jess and Samie, Whitney shared how it helped her to be going into the villa this time with people she “already knows.”

She shared: “I felt more comfortable. Before going into the villa, trust and believe, I feel like people have this conception that you lot are just like industry friends.

“Nah baby, when I went into that villa it was very much Samie, Facetime, group call with Jess, Millie, Scott.

“We lot were saying we’re doing it, I’ll do it if you do it [go on the show]. It was such a sweet, great experience.”

The revelation comes shortly after Whitney and Yamen have been speculated to have broken up.

Fans noticed that Whitney removed an Instagram post that went up on her page after leaving the show – a special one all contestants had added to their page where they’re standing with their partner.

Then just a matter of days later Yamen took to TikTok to answer fan Q&As about him and Whitney’s relationship.

Some viewers believed their romance could be on the rocks as Yamen appeared to show little enthusiasm about moving to the UK permanently to be with Whitney “if things got serious”.

The star responded to the question with: “I definitely see myself spending a lot of time here in the UK.

“But mainly I like to be back and forth between the States, UK and maybe like a vacation spot.

“So maybe a spot in LA, a spot in Miami, maybe a spot in London.

“And then maybe a vacation spot in somewhere like South East Asia or something.”
