Married At First Sight bride has confirmed she has been “dismissed” from her job due to her behaviour and antics on the Channel 9 reality show.

Bec Zacharia worked in sales at a manufacturing company in Adelaide before she appeared on the 2026 season of the experiment.

But over the past few weeks, she has been involved in endless drama, shouting matches, and made crude comments about her match, Danny Hewitt, and the other contestants.

A poll of more than 1,200 Yahoo Lifestyle readers found Bec came in third for the worst dinner party behaviour out of Juliette, Brook, and Gia.

In an interview with the MAFS Funny podcast, Bec admitted that how she has behaved on MAFS has made her “unemployable”.

“I’m worried about where my next rent payment is going to come from,” she said.

Speculation about Bec being let go from her job first started early last month, and she had kept tight-lipped about it… until now.

In an interview with Pedestrian, she said it was one episode in particular that caused the biggest fallout.

“After my abhorrent behaviour at Dinner Party three was aired, my employer, the very next day, suggested I don’t come back after MAFS had finished airing,” she said.

That episode of Married At First Sight saw Bec go after nearly every contestant on the show.

Shortly after the episode was beamed to millions across Australia, Bec even released a public statement apologising for how she acted.

She claimed she was “hurt”, “didn’t handle it well” and that she was “learning and growing”.

Interestingly, the 35-year-old from Adelaide brazenly “declined” her boss’s suggestion to leave.

“A week later, I was informed I didn’t have an option to stay and was dismissed from my workplace,” she added.

She told the publication she didn’t have a new job yet, but she wasn’t too worried as she was prioritising her happiness.

Bec’s major worry after MAFS now that she’s ‘unemployable’

Bec left many viewers surprised last week when she revealed her impressive position in the property market.

The 35-year-old claimed her Adelaide home was five minutes from the CBD, was worth $2.5 million, and only had $97,000 left on the mortgage.

But in her MAFS Funnyshe admitted she was given that home and had been paying off the mortgage for three years.

“Can I be honest? I would never be able to afford a house by myself,” she said.

“I would never be able. I’m a s**t saver. I can’t save money. I have earned so much money in my life and I have nothing to show for it.

“I never will be able to buy a house as a single woman.”

She even revealed that she’s now moved out of that house and it’s being rented out, and she’s also currently renting.
