EXCLUSIVE: The Gladiators star became the latest celebrity to leave the BBC One show.

Strictly Come Dancing’s latest eliminated celebrity Harry Aikines-Aryeetey feared his professional partner Karen Hauer would “be cross” with him as he “felt responsible” for the pair leaving the BBC show following a dance off against La Voix and Aljaž Škorjanec. Both couples had to perform again for the judges after finding themselves in the bottom two with La Voix and Aljaž dancing their Foxtrot to Make Your Own Kind of Music by Cass Elliot. Meanwhile Gladiators star Harry and Karen revisited their Samba to Samba by Gloria Estefan for a second time.

Celebrity psychic and body language expert language expert Inbaal Honigman analysed the couple’s ineraction as the judges dealt the devastating news they had danced for the last time. “Their little embrace indicates that Harry feels responsible for their loss. He places his cheek on Karen’s forehead tenderly, but while she glances downwards, Harry’s pupils gaze directly at his dancing partner, as if checking to see whether she’s cross with him. His embrace is gentle, almost apologetic. When Harry holds Karen’s hands and they face each other, we can see how proud he is of her. He raises his chin, which shows that he’s proud of her, and spreads his arms to celebrate her,” she said.

Speaking on behalf of Oddspedia, who currently have George Clarke as favourite to win, she revealed Harry’s competitive background as a Team GB sprinter was on show during the tense moment.

“When Harry waits to hear the results, his history as a competitive athlete is evident. He adopts a neutral face, which then can be easily adapted into any expression, depending on whether he wins or loses.

“Tense jaw, forward gaze and a small, lopsided smile is the perfect facial expression, as it doesn’t betray sadness or joy. Karen glances downwards, revealing her worries about their performance, but not Harry.

“When the results are known, Harry tries his best to hide it, but he is sad to be leaving,” she confirmed.

“The Olympian flashes a bright smile, teeth showing, lips stretched. His mouth is smiling as widely as possible when he speaks. But his smile never reaches the rest of his face.

“His cheeks aren’t rounded, his eyes don’t squint, which would have been signs of joy. With lowered brow, Harry’s smile reveals his disappointment,” Inbaaal confirmed.

La Voix and Aljaž were unanimously saved by the judges following the dance off. Leaving the show an emotional Harry said: “Literally, this has been a dream come true. This is a celebration. It’s a celebration.

“I spoke to my daughter and she didn’t like seeing her dad sad, and when she saw me sad last week, she was like, ‘Daddy what’s wrong?’ and I wanted to show everyone that, no matter what happens, there’s always a silver lining. But this is an experience for me. So, thank you for this lovely gift.”
