A BLOOD-SOAKED man made a chilling confession to his father just moments after killing his mom in a frenzied knife attack.

Eric Leif Jordahl was 20 years old when he stabbed and cannibalized his mom Rosalie Johnson at their lakeside home in Minnesota in July 2020.

Now as he prepares for his sentence after being found guilty of murder, a criminal complaint has revealed the horrifying details of the incident.

Cops were called to the family home on July 23, 2020 after her husband came home and found Jordahl covered in blood in the garage, according to the document filed in Sherburne County court.

“The devil exists, it’s in me and I ate Mom,” he chillingly confessed to his father.

The 62-year-old councilwoman for Big Lake City Council was found in the basement beaten and stabbed with parts of her body missing.

She was disfigured with facial trauma and covered in blood, the probable cause statement seen by the Daily Mail said.

Jordahl went to his mom’s room late at night while his father was at work and when she told him to go back to bed, he beat her before finding a knife and repeatedly stabbing her.

Police said he also bit her during the frenzied attack.

The probable cause statement noted that he removed a part of her body, put it in the kitchen and that is where cops found human tissue and a butcher’s knife on the table.

The medical examiner ruled that Jordahl cannibalized his mom before she died, citing extensive blunt-force and sharp-force injuries to her head, neck, and torso.

Judge Karen Schommer used the examiner’s report to conclude in her guilty ruling that he beat and stabbed his mom and then “began to cut up and cannibalize” her while she was alive.

In 2021 Jordahl was determined to be too incompetent to stand trial but he regained competency and the legal process restarted in 2024 with his lawyers saying he was not guilty by reason of mental illness.

As a result, he has a split trial separating his guilty verdict from the mental illness clause.

Jordahl, now 26 years old, waived his right to a jury trial and so was processed by Judge Schommer who found him guilty on all counts including first-degree murder which has an automatic life sentence.

On Monday, Schommer will hear evidence as to why he should not be found not guilty by reason of mental illness.

If she rules in favor of this, Jordahl will likely avoid time in prison and instead be sent to a psychiatric facility.
