During the Judges’ Song Contest, each judge — Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan — secretly selected three different songs for every contestant. The twist? Contestants had no idea which judge picked which song.
Foster’s choices? “Two Dozen Roses,” “Crazy,” and “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait. He chose the Strait classic, dedicating it to Brooklyn. The song ended up being Carrie Underwood’s pick — and she was clearly thrilled with his choice.
“That was absolutely perfect,” Underwood said. “It felt comfortable. It felt genuine.”
Luke Bryan chimed in with equal praise:
