Ailsa Anderson, Queen Elizabeth’s press secretary, opened up about Lady Louise’s plans on HELLO!’s A Right Royal Podcast

ady Louise Windsor is thoroughly enjoying university life in her fourth and final year at St Andrews – and will now be thinking hard about what comes next.
King Charles‘s niece, 22, has got stuck into life at the Scottish institution in Fife: she’s known to be a member of the student theatre society, has joined the university’s Officers’ Training Corps as a cadet and is even said to have picked a job in the canteen. She also takes after her grandfather, Prince Philip, with her love of carriage driving.
This week, Ailsa Anderson, Queen Elizabeth’s former press secretary, shed light on the young royal’s future during the latest episode of HELLO!’s Right Royal Podcast.
Ailsa is very fond of the Edinburghs and was even by Duchess Sophie‘s side when she gave birth to Lady Louise four weeks prematurely in 2003, when Prince Edward was many miles away in Mauritius.
Speaking to HELLO!, she said: “I love seeing pictures of Louise. I love the story of her sitting slumped down in a train on a laptop, doing work, either going back or coming home from university.
“I think she’s very, very grounded. I love the fact that she takes after her grandfather in terms of carriage driving. It’s a real passion of hers. It’s a continuation of that amazing interest and hobby. She’ll be an interesting one to watch.”
Lady Louise has a younger brother, James, Earl of Wessex, who is 18. Ailsa added: “I think both children look particularly grounded and normal. We don’t see much of them on the balcony, only occasionally. If there’s a big set-piece event, they are there, but they’re pretty much under the radar, so they can live their life normally, if there is such a thing as a member of the royal family being normal when you’ve got your uncle as the King.”

During the episode, Ailsa opened up about what she thinks Lady Louise may get up to next, after completing her English degree – and even if she could become a working royal.
