In classic Trump style, the president shared an update on X earlier today (October 1). It is the first time he has addressed the trip on social media.

The first photo shows him giving a speech at the state banquet on September 17, where he was seated next to the Princess of Wales. Other invitees, including the UK Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, can be seen in the background.
The second shows the Trumps posing in the stunning Windsor Castle drawing room with King Charles and Queen Camilla. Both men looked dapper in suits, while Camilla and Melania contrasted on either side in a blue gown and a yellow off the shoulder dress with a pink belt, respectively.
Two more photos, taken from above, show the lavish banquet and St George’s Hall, the castle’s largest room, boasting a 50-metre-long table, in all its glory.

What food was served at the state banquet?
Many of the president’s social media followers also quizzed him on what food had been served at the banquet.
According to reports, guests were treated to watercress panna cotta, followed by a chicken ballotine wrapped in courgettes.
There also appeared to be a sweet tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, with one of her favourite sweet treats, a vanilla ice cream bombe, served for dessert.
When asked about the meal upon his return, Trump said simply that he ate “whatever the hell they served us”.
