50 Cent Has Hilarious Response to Ice Cube’s New Movie Getting 0% on Rotten Tomatoe

Ice Cube may be known for starring in comedy franchises like Friday, Are We There Yet?, and 21 Jump Street. But his latest movie is a modern take on the H.G. Wells classic, War of the Worlds. After the sci-fi thriller received a rare 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, 50 Cent couldn’t help but leave a hilarious response.
War of the Worlds is one of the best movies to prepare you for an alien invasion. Whether it was the 1953 adaptation or the Steven Spielberg classic, these movies tap into a fear of the unknown.
The Amazon Prime Video adaptation starring Ice Cube provides a more contemporary take on an alien invasion using a screenlife format similar to Unfriended or Searching. The rapper/actor plays a U.S. government computer security analyst who fights an alien invasion behind the computer.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, 2025’s War of the Worlds has a 0% critics’ score and a 17% audience score. Loud and Clear called it “the worst possible adaptation of H.G. Wells’s work,” and the Daily Telegraph said it was “silly” and “soddy.” Many felt the screenlife elements were hard to watch and that there was a lot of Amazon Prime product placement throughout the movie.

Critics and audiences on Rotten Tomatoes weren’t the only ones to chime in on Ice Cube’s War of the Worlds movie. In fact, rapper 50 Cent made sure to share his two cents on the Amazon Prime Movie’s harsh Rotten Tomatoes score, and his response is hilarious:
It looks like 50 Cent’s jab was filled with a combination of shock and humor for his fellow rapper. While The Predator actor hasn’t publicly talked about the negative criticism surrounding his new movie, his son did. O’Shea Jackson Jr., who portrayed his father in Straight Outta Compton, defended his dad’s movie against an X user:
