Earlier this month, on March 7, 2026, news of Married at First Sight bride Gia’s Fleur’s boyfriend, who isn’t her MAFS husband Scott McCristal, invaded the internet after Daily Mail broke the story.

This spoiler immediately shattered the “power couple” facade that Gia and Scott were parading around for the majority of the 2026 season. While the rest of the contestants were mostly committed to not spoiling the show for fans, it seems Gia was just too in love to hold back her affection for her new beau in public.

Gia’s boyfriend, Alan Wallace, is a former reality tv star, known for his stint on Stan’s Love Triangle, a show made by the producers of Married at First Sight.

So, what we’re hearing is Gia has a type?

Gia opened up to WHO about her relationship, revealing how Alan was the “manly” man she asked MAFS for all along, taking a savage stab at Scot in the process.

Gia’s dig at Scott as she gushes over new relationship with Alan

When the news first broke, Gia told Daily Mail that “navigating the new relationship has been hard, which is why [she’s] done minimal press because [she] can’t keep pretending [she’s] with Scott when [she’s] so in love with Alan.”

However, since this news broke at the start of March, Gia has done more than “minimal” press about her relationship with Alan and her behaviour on MAFS. While she is yet to go onto Stan’s After the Dinner Party show, a recent TikTok posted last week shows Gia also teasing that possibility.

Gia not only spoke to WHO about how Alan compares to her MAFS husband, Scott, but also about how her desire for a “manly” partner who can provide (a topic that has come up a lot this season) remains true.

“He’s what I asked for!” Gia said to WHO when speaking about Alan. “I said smart, tradie who will drink a beer and be manly.”

“Scott got Botox, didn’t drink and worked in an office,” she compared. “Also isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.”

A concern Gia raised about Scott at the end of the season was his inability to say he “loved” her.

However, this was ot a problem for Alan, it would seem, making him an even more attractive option for the single mum.

“He told me he loves me first,” Gia tells us. “And did it in a month.”

Who is Alan Wallace?

Alan Wallace, 34, is a sparky (electrician) and former Love Triangle contestant who entered the show looking for love in 2023. However, Gia and Alan have more mutuals than reality tv. It was revealed that Alan used to date Scott’s ex-partner, Abbey, who appeared in all the infamous photos Scott initially refused to delete after Gia discovered them this season. Talk about a small world!

According to sources from Woman’s Day, the pair met through a mutual friend while Gia was still filming in 2025 and became official on New Year’s Eve with rumours that Gia and her daughter Willa have already moved into Alan’s Melbourne home.

It appears Gia and Scott’s relationship was already over before she met Alan, proving that the cracks revealed on the show were older and deeper than they were revealed on the show.

How did Scott react to the news?

On March 18, 2026, Scott snapped back at Gia going rogue with this spoiler as he attended Stan’s After the Dinner Party episode that week.

“At the end of the day, I’m just highly disappointed in what Gia’s done,” he shared on the couch. “We’re away for three months, putting our lives on hold to try and fall in love and not spoil anything, and the fact that she’s gone behind everyone’s back… It’s a disappointment.”

When asked about how he felt for Gia, Scott expressed that “it brings emotions out of [him].”

“I get upset cause I was so invested in her at the time,” he said on the Stan show. “And what everyone’s seeing right now is so damn real.”

While Woman’s Day was told that Scott has moved on and is happily living with his new partner in Queensland, only this week will reveal if the couple even make it all the way to final vows.

Odds are…unlikely.
