People watching MAFS Australia in the UK have missed out on months of gossip. Basically, within weeks of quitting MAFS Australia 2026, Brook was openly back with her ex Harry. The couple are now engaged, and expecting a baby. But, what was actually going on between Brook and her ex while she was filming MAFS Australia? Here’s every morsel of evidence we have.

1. Deleted scenes from the show

On the Australian show MAFS: After the Dinner Party, we saw deleted footage from the honesty box challenge. Brook spoke more about other relationships. She said she slept with somebody two days before marrying Chris on MAFS. Brook explained in an interview this was with “someone in my life”.

Another card asked Brook about the last time she had contact with her ex. Brook responded: “When he wanted to buy me flowers, and I was like, ‘You do realise I’m married now?’ But he already knew. But I think he just obviously… didn’t really…”

She then added “I’m friends with my ex. Like, I don’t hate him. We’re friends. So, it’s like, if he texts me, I will respond, but it’s not like we’re freaking ‘la-di-da-ing’”.

So, Brook was definitely still in touch with her previous boyfriend while they were filming MAFS.

2. The Maldives holiday photos

Chris said on MAFS: After the Dinner Party: “I thought she didn’t get back with him until three, maybe four weeks after. But she actually went on a holiday with him two weeks once we left to the Maldives. And she told me direct that it was with family and friends. But the article said it was with Harry, her ex, so…”

Brook did say she and her ex were friends. So, the things she told Chris about the holiday and the things she said in the magazine interview don’t necessarily contradict each other.

According to Chris, he and Brook spoke about this Maldives trip during the week before they left MAFS.

Brook posted on her Instagram pictures of her in the Maldives on 1st and 5th of September. The photos only show her. So, we can’t tell from the pics who else she was in the Maldives with.

Now, we know the intruder weddings were filmed during the last week of August. Brook and Chris left the experiment just before this. So, there was definitely a very quick turnaround between Brook leaving MAFS and Brook going to the Maldives.

Was she planning to go on holiday with her ex before she and Chris called it quits? Perhaps she’s just very efficient at packing suitcases.

3. Brook’s timeline of events

Brook claims she and Harry initially split about three months before she went on MAFS. Although Brook spoke on MAFS about exes cheating on her, Harry apparently didn’t. She told Woman’s Day their break-up didn’t involve “infidelity” or a “toxic ending”, but Harry being “so busy with work”.

She told Woman’s Day: “He had to put in the hard yards, because he broke up with me. But no, really we were both like, ‘Okay, if it didn’t work back then, what are we going to do to make it work now?’

“But Harry invited me away to the Maldives a couple of weeks later for a surfing trip with his family and friends and that just cemented things for me. We just had the most beautiful time. We were better than we had ever been.”
