Two characters confronting each other in Motorvalley

Drive to Survive is just about to return, but if you need a fix of motorsport magic now, Netflix has released Motorvalley, and it’s the perfect antidote

Drive to Survive will return to Netflix on Friday, but if your motorsports itch can’t wait until then, there’s a different drama that you can tune in for.

Releasing earlier this month, the streamer is now airing Motorvalley, a six-part Italian-language drama that has been dominating the charts in its home country, while also proving to be incredibly popular in Turkey, Romania and Mauritius.

The series follows an upstart racing team competing in the Italian Gran Turismo, with each of the trio having their own reason to want to win.

The synopsis for the show reads: “Arturo, Elena and Blu have lost almost everything in their lives, but one thing still fuels them: their love for cars and adrenaline. Elena, heir to the Dionisi family and owner of a famous racing team, must reclaim her role in the family business, now in her brother’s hands. She hires Blu, a hot-headed young woman with a fatal attraction to speed, and Arturo, former legendary driver who retired after a tragic accident, to train her.

“Each of them has a reason to race faster than the others. Motorvalley tells the story of their journey through one of the most thrilling racing competitions: the Italian Gran Turismo (GT) Championship, where cars and racing are not just a shared passion, but a matter of life or death.”

Response

Several fans have loved the series, as one enthused: “I didn’t expect to be this hooked. Motorvalley blends family drama and high-speed racing with a tight pace that keeps you engaged until the final episode.

“The racing scenes are very well shot and genuinely make you feel like you’re on the track. The cast works well together, especially in the more emotional moments. It’s not just a show about cars, but a story about ambition, mistakes, and redemption. Perfect for a weekend binge.”

Fans have been hooked on the series

In a recommendation, a second added: “Knowing you’re a car guy, I started watching a Netflix series MOTORVALLEY that you might like. So far it’s smelling Fast n furious, with a hint of GTA bit I’m only 1 episode in,” while a third penned: “I know we’re all caught up with the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, but if during the breaks you feel like switching sports and watching a cute series with an even cuter and really talented actress, go watch Motorvalley on Netflix!”

Joel Keller in Decider opined: “Motorvalley succeeds because of its action scenes and some decent chemistry among its three leads. It’s not a show you watch if you’re looking for high drama or deep characterizations, but there should be enough story in between the racing scenes to keep viewers’ interest.”

Some fans, however, weren’t impressed

However, praise hasn’t been universal, as one complained: “It is [a] really horrible combination of bad script and bad acting. It is totally unrealistic and full of cliches.”

Who stars in Motorvalley?

The show focuses on three main characters, Elena, Arturo and Blu, who are played respectively by Giulia Michelini, Luca Argentero and Caterina Forza.
