Joy Behar shocked her fans after she skipped two consecutive episodes of “The View” without explanation.
Host Whoopi Goldberg said her co-panelist’s Wednesday and Tuesday absences were due to an injury.
“Well, hello, hello, hello, and welcome to ‘The View,’ y’all,” Goldberg said in the talk show’s opening segment Wednesday, per Entertainment Weekly.
“Now, Joy is out because she hurt her foot, and hopefully she’ll be back here tomorrow.”

Along with Goldberg, Wednesday’s panel featured its usual co-hosts Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin.
One day prior, Goldberg, 69, brushed past Behar’s absence, saying that the comedian was “out” and would “hopefully” return the next day. However, Behar did not make an appearance Wednesday.
Behar, 83, was also MIA from Monday’s episode, but it’s worth noting she typically uses the day as her off-day.
A rep for Behar did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Among the list of trinkets being sold on the show, Behar unloaded her collection of clip-on earrings as she joked her “holes are dried up.”
“Now, I have a fabulous collection of clip-on earrings. Whenever I see them, I buy them, because my holes are dried up,” Behar quipped.
Behar has been a staple on “The View” since its 1997 debut — save for her hiatus from 2013 to 2015.

In September, she revealed that she had been fired twice by her former boss, the late Barbara Walters.
“She fired me twice actually,” Behar told host Andy Cohen in her September appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” noting that one ousting “had something to do with a Democrat and a Republican.”
She claimed Walters, who died in 2022 at age 93, “regretted” the decision and she ultimately returned as a host.
