Amid months of escalating tensions between President Donald Trump and Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, Trump says he is “withdrawing” his support of his longtime political ally.
In a lengthy post to his Truth Social account on Friday, Nov. 14, Trump said he will no longer endorse the fellow Republican, who represents Georgia’s 14th congressional district. “I am withdrawing my support and Endorsement of ‘Congresswoman’ Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the Great State of Georgia,” Trump wrote.

He then went on to detail his administration’s “Record Achievements for our Country,” including a “Total and Complete Victory on the Shutdown, Closed Borders, Low Taxes, No Men in Women’s Sports or Transgender for Everyone, ending DEI, stopping Biden’s Record Setting Inflation, Biggest Regulation Cuts in History, stopping EIGHT WARS, and rebuilding our Military,” among other purported accomplishments.
Trump continued, “all ! see “Wacky” Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN! It seemed to all begin when I sent her a Poll stating that she should not run for Senator, or Governor, she was at 12%, and didn’t have a chance (unless, of course, she had my Endorsement – which she wasn’t about to get!).”
He claimed Greene “told many people that she is upset that I don’t return her phone calls anymore, but with 219 Congressmen/women, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, almost 200 Countries, and an otherwise normal life to lead, I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day.”
Greene has since responded to Trump’s comments, via a statement shared on X.
“President Trump just attacked me and lied about me,” Greene began. She then shared a series of text messages that she said she sent to Trump and aide Natalie Harp, urging him to release files related to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, and “lean in” to claims that prominent Democrats like Bill Clinton are named in the documents.
“And of course he’s coming after me hard to make an example to scare all the other Republicans before next weeks vote to release the Epstein files,” Greene continued. “It’s astonishing really how hard he’s fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out that he actually goes to this level.”
In the post, Greene is adamant that she has been a staunch supporter of the president, but that she does not “worship or serve Donald Trump.”
“I have supported President Trump with too much of my precious time, too much of my own money, and fought harder for him even when almost all other Republicans turned their back and denounced him,” Greene wrote. “But I don’t worship or serve Donald Trump.”
Trump’s post comes days after he told reporters that Greene had “lost her way” during meetings with Syrian interim president Amad al-Sharaa. Greene had been vocally critical of Trump’s decision to meet with al-Sharaa, whom she described as a “former Al Qaeda terrorist wanted by our government” in a post to her X account on Monday, Nov. 10.
Greene then wrote that she would “really like to see nonstop meetings at the WH on domestic policy not foreign policy and foreign country’s leaders.”
“Start by hauling in the health insurance company’s executives and let’s start formulating our Republican plan to save America from Obamacare and ACA tax credits that have skyrocketed the cost of health insurance,” the post continued.
Greene has ramped up her criticisms of her fellow Republicans and Trump in recent months. In June, she broke with her party to oppose artificial intelligence (AI) provisions in Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” and admitted she never read the legislation. She also slammed Trump’s decision to bomb three Iranian nuclear sites that same month.
“I’m sick of funding foreign aid and foreign countries and foreign everything,” Greene wrote in a statement to her X account on June 22. “I want to fund American interests and issues.”

Toward the end of his Nov. 14 Truth Social post, Trump said that he would offer his “Complete and Unyielding Support” to “the right person” if they decided to run against Greene in a primary election.
“She has gone Far Left, even doing The View, with their Low IQ Republican hating Anchors,” Trump wrote. “Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Trump’s post seems to confirm some details shared by New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who said in a Nov. 5 video that Greene was on a “revenge tour” against Trump because he would not support her as a candidate for a Georgia Senate seat.
“Marjorie Taylor Greene wanted to run for Senate in Georgia. She wanted to run for Senate earlier this year in the state of Georgia, she wanted to be the Republican nominee for Senate. So, she was gearing up for that statewide race, and Trump told her no,” Ocasio-Cortez said in the video. “Trump said no, and the White House and Trump Land shut down Marjorie Taylor Greene’s personal ambitions to run for Senate, and she has been on a revenge tour ever since.”
