Emily Carver has welcomed a son to the world, her proud husband has confirmed. The GB News presenter and her co-star husband Patrick Christys took to social media to share the news.
Patrick wrote on Instagram: “George Alexander Peter Christys came into the world at 5:26am on Friday, September 5th. He’s a very happy, healthy, much-loved little boy.”
And he went on to praise his wife, as well as giving his son his first lesson in life. “The beautiful Emily Carver was amazing throughout,” he gushed. “Life lesson #1 George – always love and respect your mother.”
In on image, taken outside St Mary’s Hospital, Emily was seen holding a large bouquet of flowers. She also held onto a neck pillow, while Patrick joyfully held his newborn son in his carrier.
Patrick gave the thumbs up

Another showed the new tot looking snug in his white blanket while wearing a blue panda print onesie. Other shots showed Patrick giving the thumbs up as he strapped his son into his car seat, while another showed the happy family back home.
Emily shared her own sweet upload on her Instagram page, using different images of the newborn. She called her pregnancy and birthing a “rollercoaster” and wrote: “Welcome to the world our little tiny George Alexander Peter Christys!
“Our beautiful, healthy boy was born on the 5th September at 5.26am, weighing 6.5lbs. What a rollercoaster!” She continued: “We’re now out of the hospital and settling into life as parents – with the support of our wonderful families. Thank you for all the thoughtful messages and well wishes and to the brilliant team at St Mary’s hospital for keeping us all safe.”
GB News’ deputy political editor was among those in her comments section to send well-wishes. He wrote: “Amazing, just amazing.” while fellow co-star Dawn Neesom penned: “What a cutie, huge congratulations.”
Emily and Patrick have been updating followers throughout their pregnancy. Just weeks ago they took part in a special gender reveal live on air.
As Emily was handed a bouquet of flowers and a card from her husband while on air, he explained he thought they could do their reveal during her segment.
Grabbing a cake and a knife, Patrick said: “Right, ok. Well how do we want to do this now?” He then jokingly asked if there had been an office bet on the reveal.
Letting Emily do the honours, Patrick watched on as his wife cut into the cake with a smile of anticipation on her face. With the camera panning in on the cake, Emily cut a slice and lifted it out, revealing a blue sponge as those in the studio with the pair applauded.
