GB News presenters Patrick Christys and Emily Carver have paid heartfelt thanks to viewers for their overwhelming kindness following the birth of their first child.
The couple revealed they were “touched” by the support after welcoming their son, George Alexander Peter Christys, in the early hours of September 5.
During their first appearance on the channel since becoming parents earlier this week, the presenters revealed they had received an extraordinary array of gifts from viewers.
The outpouring of support included handmade knitted garments, quilts, soft toys and greeting cards.

Today, Patrick took to social media with a picture of all the gifts that they received from fans and penned a message to convey his gratitude.
He said: “Thank you to all the generous GB News viewers and listeners who knitted outfits, made quilts, bought teddies, sent us cards and even got George his first England and Man Utd football kits (which were actually from a Liverpool fan!) @CarverEmily and I are very grateful.”
He revealed she managed nearly the entire process with just two paracetamol tablets until the final stages, describing her endurance as “incredible” and saying he felt “very sorry” for her during the ordeal.
George Alexander Peter Christys was born in the early hours of September 5.
The baby arrived following an early induction after medical staff expressed concerns about his measurements.
Emily endured an intense labour experience, managing most of it with minimal pain relief before receiving an epidural near the end. Their son weighed six-and-a-half pounds at birth.
Speaking about witnessing the delivery, Patrick expressed admiration for his wife’s strength.
The new father told viewers he was “so proud” of Emily’s performance throughout the birth.
He described feeling “in awe” whilst supporting her through the challenging experience in the early hours of that September morning.
The presenters revealed that viewer contributions have eliminated their need to purchase baby clothes for the next half year.

Patrick enthusiastically encouraged continued donations during the broadcast, expressing amazement at the volume of items received.
Asked when he plans to return to work, Patrick said: “We’ve got the America launch this evening so I’m gonna be doing my nine PM till midnight show, but then I’m back off again until Friday.
“I’m back properly from Friday. So we’re gonna find out. But I do think that I’m probably gonna have to stop rampaging around northern France and doing some of the reports I was doing over there and maybe just keep it local.”
