Paris Hilton is acknowledging the reports that Ghislaine Maxwell attempted to recruit her for Jeffrey Epstein.

Hilton, 44, recently spoke to The Times and directly addressed reports from music composer Christopher Mason, who said Maxwell eyed Hilton, then a younger girl, at a party to recruit her for Epstein.

It remains unclear where or when this alleged interaction occurred. Hilton was photographed with Maxwell and now-President Donald Trump at the Anand Jon Fashion Show on Sept. 18, 2000, in New York City.

“I don’t even remember ever meeting her,” Hilton told the outlet. “I’m such a good clickbait name.”

Mason claimed in the 2020 Surviving Jeffrey Epstein docuseries that his friend was with Maxwell at a party and “scouring” the city for “younger girls to go on dates with Jeffrey.”

“Ghislaine said, ‘Oh my God, who’s that?’ and was looking at this pretty, young, sort of teenage girl,” Mason recalled in the docuseries, according to Rolling Stone. “And she said, ‘Do you know her?’ My friend said, ‘Yes, she’s called Paris Hilton.’ And Ghislaine said, ‘God, she’d be perfect for Jeffrey. Could you introduce us?’ “

“At the time, it seemed a bit naughty,” he added.

Five years after Hilton was photographed with Maxwell and Trump, a criminal investigation into sexual abuse allegations from underage girls against Epstein began. In 2008, Epstein took a deal and pleaded guilty to charges of solicitation of prostitution and solicitation of prostitution with a minor under the age of 18. He was in prison for 13 months.

Over a decade later, in July 2019, he was arrested on charges of trafficking dozens of minors between 2002 and 2005 in New York and Florida. He pleaded not guilty to one count of sex trafficking of minors and one count of conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking of minors.

The next month, Epstein died by suicide in a jail cell in New York City’s Metropolitan Correctional Center.

Epstein’s case was dismissed three weeks after his suicide. But questions remain, specifically Epstein’s criminal history and what surfaced during the years of investigations. In September, Epstein’s victims said they are working to assemble their own client list of men and women who were trafficked by Epstein.

There is now a battle in Congress regarding the release of the Epstein investigation files. The request for release comes after the Trump administration claimed that the client list they had promised to release for months does not exist.

Trump referred to the files as a “hoax” in a July 2025 Truth Social post. On Nov. 14 he said that he “doesn’t care” if additional documents are released. Two days later, he posted on Truth Social, where he said he wanted Republicans in the House to support the upcoming vote.

“House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax,” the president wrote.
