UK drill rapper Dsavv escaped from prison this week during a hospital visit.

The 21-year-old (real name Daniel Boakye) was taken to West Middlesex University Hospital under escort on the morning of February 10th and managed to slip his handcuffs.

Dsavv was being held at HMP Feltham, west London, after being jailed in 2023 for stealing £115,000 worth of cryptocurrency at knifepoint.

He was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and sentenced to six years and five months behind bars.

Speaking on his escape, a Met Police spokesperson told The Sun, “Shortly after 03:30hrs on Tuesday, 10 February, the Met was informed by the Prison Service that a prisoner had escaped custody while under the care of prison staff at a west London hospital.”

They continued, “The prisoner is a 21-year-old man. While the investigation proceeds at pace, we will not be able to provide further details. Officers are carrying out urgent enquiries in an effort to locate him and return him to custody.”

The popular rapper is known for his affiliation with the OFB collective, which includes Headie One, Bandokay, Abra Cadabara, Akz, RV, and Dezzie.

Dsavv’s biggest song on Spotify, ‘Far from Over’, has over seven million streams, with the music video also racking up five million YouTube views.

Addressing the manhunt, a prison source said, “This is a huge cock-up and a massive embarrassment to the prison service. Although he is only in for robbery, Boakye is extremely dangerous and has links to serious gang members. He would have been double-cuffed – ie cuffed to a guard – at all times and the fear is that an officer has made a mistake and un-cuffed him for some reason.”

They added, “Everyone at Feltham is really shocked, and all the staff were told about it on email at 8am. Police were told and there is a massive hunt to find him because he is so dangerous.”
