Queen Camilla may not be Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s biggest fan, and rightly so, but reports suggest she rushed to Highgrove earlier this month to join King Charles in reuniting with them. On July 10, it was reported that Their Majesties hosted Harry and Meghan, alongside their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, at Highgrove.
No other details were given. This surprised many, not only because the prospect of a reunion seemed to be up in the air, but also because Meghan, Archie and Lilibet had not joined Harry for the rest of his UK visit. This was believed to be because of security concerns.
While the monarch has met with his youngest son over the last few years, it is believed Camilla has never been present.
This has not necessarily come as a surprise, with Harry having not been very complimentary about his stepmother in his 2023 memoir Spare.
However, it seems that Camilla rose above this and rushed to the Highgrove reunion for one reason – to be a “witness” for everything that was said.
Royal writer Robert Jobson told Page Six: “The queen was there for a reason. To make sure that everything was witnessed.”

It is believed this is something the King wanted as Harry and Meghan have been known for spilling private family moments into the public eye since they quit royal life in 2020.
This includes interviews, on Netflix, and even in the pages of books.
It is believed that the monarch was strict about the contents of the family meeting remaining private, which resulted in no photographs being shared publicly.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have so far not revealed anything, apart from Harry answering someone’s question about the King by saying he is doing “great”.
