🚨 CASE UPDATE: AXEL RUDAKUBANA HAS TAKEN AN ACTION INVOLVING MULTIPLE PRISON STAFF AT HMP BELMARSH, A NEW DEVELOPMENT IS DRAWING ATTENTION BEHIND BARS
SOUTHPORT killer Axel Rudakubana has been charged with multiple assaults on prison staff at HMP Belmarsh.
The 19-year-old fiend has since been transferred from the London prison to Broadmoor in Berkshire.
Rudakubana was charged after four incidents, including attempted GBH and possession of a weapon in prison, between May and October 2025.
He was charged on Tuesday and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court via videolink on September 11, the Met confirmed.
Issuing a statement, the force said: “A man has been charged with multiple assaults on prison staff at HMP Belmarsh.
“Axel Rudakubana, 19, has been charged with the following:
“Assault on an emergency worker on Tuesday, 6 May, 2025
“Attempted grievous bodily harm on Thursday, 8 May, 2025
“Unauthorised possession of an offensive weapon in prison on Thursday, 26 June, 2025
“Assault on an emergency worker on Tuesday, 28 October, 2025
“He was charged on Tuesday, 28 July, and will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court via videolink on Friday, 11 September.”
Families of the Southport victims have slammed the vile killer for trying to “manipulate the system” after he moved to the secure hospital.
The triple child killer’s transfer comes after The Sun revealed the move was on the cards last June.
The transfer means Rudakubana will have round the clock access to nurses and psychologists.
One source said at the time the killer was “very keen for the move” but some at the category A prison thought he could be “gaming the system”.
