A woman has been charged after an 11-year-old girl went missing.
Kristen Gerrie, of Toledo, Ohio, was arrested on Friday, July 3, in connection with the disappearance of Angelique Cunningham, who went missing from a boat in Lake Erie.
Booking records reviewed by PEOPLE show that Gerrie, 41, was charged with endangering children.
13 Action News reported that the woman is being held on a $50,000 bond.

Lucas County Sheriff Michael J. Navarre told 13 Action News that Cunningham was in Gerrie’s care when she went missing from a boat less than 15 minutes after it left Meinke Marina on Wednesday, July 1.
Family members described the woman as a neighbor to the outlet.
Jonathan Ciha, 38, was also on the boat, and they were said to be on a recreational boat ride.
Ciha was found dead the next morning, per 13 Action News. It is believed that he drowned.

Gerrie, meanwhile, swam to the shore and was questioned by authorities, the sheriff’s office told 13 Action News.
The boat was recovered at the nearby West Sister Island on Thursday, July 2.

Toledo Fire and Rescue said in a statement on July 3 that the search was transitioned to a recovery effort.
“Our thoughts remain with the family and everyone affected by this tragedy. We ask the public to continue giving emergency crews the space needed to conduct this difficult operation,” officials said.

Jerusalem Township Fire & Rescue, the Oregon Fire & Rescue Department, the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Ohio State Highway Patrol are assisting in the operation.
The investigation is ongoing.

13 Action News reported on Sunday that authorities said a young girl’s body was found around 11:40 a.m. local time near the Lake Erie shoreline. The person’s identity has not yet been released.
