Meghan Markle seems to be a big fan of Christmas, and will no doubt be excited to spend the day with her nearest and dearest in Montecito. While her and Prince Harry’s mansion will no doubt be full of laughter and fun, it may also come with a hint of sadness too.
This is because this upcoming Christmas is believed to be the first one Meghan, 44, has had in many years without her late rescue beagle Guy, who sadly passed away within the last 12 months. This is likely to be upsetting for Meghan, who was left devastated by the dog’s passing.

While The Duchess of Sussex hasn’t addressed how she is feeling this festive season without her beloved beagle, she did share the raw emotions she felt at the time of his death earlier this year in a post on Instagram.

After Guy’s death, Meghan shared a reel of videos of Guy from throughout his life, writing: “I have cried too many tears to count – the type of tears that make you get in the shower with the absurd hope that the running water on your face will somehow make you not feel them, or pretend they’re not there.
“But they are. And that’s okay too.
“Thank you for so many years of unconditional love, my sweet Guy. You filled my life in ways you’ll never know.”
Although Meghan and Harry, 41, will miss the beloved beagle, they still have two other dogs called Pula and Mamma Mia.
It has not been publicly confirmed what Harry and Meghan’s plans are for the festive season, but they are believed to be spending December 25 at their Montecito mansion with their children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
It is also likely they will be joined by Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland.
The couple are not believed to have received an invite to Sandringham this year by Prince Harry’s royal relatives.
This is unlikely to be a surprise for Meghan and Harry, who have not spent Christmas with the Royal Family since 2018.
