Brianna “Breezy” McNees and Connor Spies got engaged on season 10 of ‘Love Is Blind,’ but had a setback right before their wedding

Despite being one of the stronger couples throughout season 10 of Love Is Blind, Brianna “Breezy” McNees and Connor Spies didn’t make it to the altar.

They — along with six other matches — left the pods engaged and head over heels, before spending their honeymoon in Mexico. Once they returned to their new lives together in Ohio, Bri struggled with her demanding job and the fear that Connor wasn’t ready for the responsibility of marriage, given the “fraternity”-like state of his home.

The situation was further complicated when her second pod connection, Chris Fusco, made a blatant attempt to pursue her after ending his engagement to Jessica Barrett over a lack of physical chemistry.

Bri and Connor’s relationship reached a shocking point just two days before their wedding, when she confessed that she wasn’t sure if Connor was the one or just a lesson for her to learn. However, she did say she had “hope” that they could get married one day.

Who are Bri and Connor, and how did they get together?

Connor, a self-described “dumpster king,” works as an account manager selling dumpsters in Cincinnati, according to his LinkedIn profile. The aroma at Bri’s job is likely much sweeter, given that she is a senior merchant at Bath & Body Works, per her LinkedIn.

The Ohio singles bonded in the pods over their love for their big, communal families and The Killers’ classic hit “Mr. Brightside.” After they broke things off with their second connections — Emma Betsinger for Connor and Chris for Bri — they got engaged sight unseen.

What happened between Chris and Bri?

After he confessed to Jess that he was used to being with someone who does “Pilates every day,” Chris attempted to make a move on Bri. He had followed and messaged her on social media and pulled her aside for a one-on-one conversation during a night out with their pod squad.

“I feel a regret because I saw you, and I was like, ‘That is the girl I would literally propose to,’ ” Chris confessed while also alleging that his intimacy with Jess was “horrible.” The reality star also criticized Bri’s relationship with Connor, and described him as “submissive.”

“I feel like you need someone who’s gonna be more dominant in your life and to help guide you and show you places you’ve never been before,” Chris continued. “He’s a very submissive guy. I’m not a submissive guy. I know I’m not like that. I would never be submissive in my life. I want to do that with you.”

Bri ended the conversation by telling Chris that she was happy in her relationship with Connor and that he was the only person she would go through this experiment with. Chris later admitted to Tudum that he was “obviously intoxicated” and regretted the conversation.

Why did Bri and Connor call off their wedding?

A mere two days before they were set to say “I do,” Bri and Connor called off their wedding. Though he made it clear that he was ready to say yes to Bri, she wasn’t on the same page, telling him she wasn’t sure if he was “the total package” or just there to teach her “how to be loved.”

“I can’t say with certainty that he’s not my person,” she later said in a confessional. “That’s the hard part. I hate that I have to say, ‘No, I’m not ready.’ I hate to be saying things like, ‘Are you a lesson to learn, or are you the love of my life?’ It’s really hard to understand why I’m going backwards. I don’t know why.”

Though Connor appeared caught off guard by Bri’s admission, he didn’t view it as the end of their relationship.

“I mean, there’s a reason that we fell in love sight unseen,” he concluded in his confessional. “That’s something I’ll remember forever — my entire life. And hopefully it’s a connection that brings us even to the altar someday.”

Where are Bri and Connor now?

In a February 2026 interview with Tudum, Bri revealed that their conversation to call off the wedding wasn’t as abrupt as it seemed in the show.

“I started from a place of skepticism, because this is a big decision. Connor, on the flip side, started from a place of optimism. We just approach it from different POVs,” she explained. “That conversation was where we met in the middle, and we’re like, ‘OK, yeah, maybe it isn’t the right time to do all this.’ ”

The reality star confessed that she had a “gigantic menty b” after trying on wedding dresses and later went home to talk with Connor about their decision. Though he admitted to having a “small little panic attack” after she broke the news, he told Tudum he didn’t want to go through with the wedding if they “weren’t both 100% ready to get married.”

Bri added that she didn’t feel like they were in “the ideal state” for a wedding. “Connor was like, ‘I want to get you that ring that you described in the pods and propose to you again,’ because he got the last pick [of rings],” she explained.

Bri continued, “I wanted to go to SoHo in New York for a girls’ trip, try on all the dresses in tears, and be like, ‘This is it.’ We envisioned having this big celebration with our friends and our family. It was feeling very forced.”

Though they seemed intent on staying together at the end of their time on Love Is Blind, their relationship status remains a question mark. Where the couple stands and whether or not they’re still together will be revealed during the season 10 reunion on March 11.
