An “ultimate horror show” that’s been described as a Se7en and Criminal Minds hybrid, is now ready to watch on Netflix.
Netflix has released the entire boxset of a fan-favourite thriller starring a 1980s legend. As the New Year begins, Netflix is kicking off 2026 by adding some hit shows to its extensive library and fans of the horror and thriller genre are going to love its latest release.
Originally airing on Fox in 2013, the drama sees troubled former FBI agent Ryan Hardy called back when the notorious serial killer he put behind bars years prior, Joe Carroll, manages to escape from death row.
When the three-season thriller was initially released, a fan called it their “new addiction”, while others have compared it to both Brad Pitt’s horror film Se7en and iconic series Criminal Minds.
An IMDb user posted: “One of my favorite action thriller tv shows I’ve ever seen. This show is full of action and chilling turning events that make you watch episode after episode.”

The Following first dropped on Netflix back in 2018 but had to be axed from the streamer as its licensing deal with Warner Bros Television had expired.
But thankfully, the contract has now been renewed and all three seasons of The Following were re-released onto the streamer on Saturday, January 3.
Starring as the former agent Ryan Hardy is Footloose icon Kevin Bacon who is joined by Land of Women and The Witcher actor James Purefoy as killer Joe Carroll, as well as The Detour and Justified star Natalie Zea as Carroll’s ex-wife Claire Matthews.
Other famous faces include The Rookie’s Shawn Ashmore, Veronica Mars actress Valorie Curry and 90210 star Jessica Stroup.

A fan commented: “Brilliant series. All the intrigue and intellectual forensic psychology of Criminal Minds with the heart-thumping suspense of a Hollywood movie – that leaves you wanting more at the end of each episode.
“Well written. By far my favorite show on television.”
“I do not scare easily but this series had me sitting on the tip of my seat!” someone exclaimed.
A third remarked: “If you are a person who loved all the awesome horror flicks we had in the 1990s then prepare yourself for the ultimate horror show.”
