A movie that has been described by fans as the ‘most entertaining film’ as good as Pulp Fiction has been quietly added to Netflix.
The title and indie release Bunny made its premiere at the South by Southwest festival just last year. It then had a limited cinematic release in the US from November but it’s probably one that missed the vast majority of UK-based film fans.
Thankfully though, it is now easier than ever to watch as it was recently included as part of Netflix’s ever-changing library. It’s already being hailed as a hidden gem by those who have managed to discover it.
According to its synopsis, the film follows Bunny, a streetwise hustler working a quick job when everything goes sideways fast. Thrown into a fight for his life, he turns to his best friend Dino for help.
The film’s runtime follows one wild, sweltering summer day and night in their East Village tenement, as the two scheme with a crew of eccentric neighbours to cover up a dead body. With the NYPD circling, chaos reigns as the clock ticks and the heat rises. Bunny’s only goal is simple: survive the night without getting caught or killed.

Bunny has managed to gain just a little over a dozen published reviews but it has still managed to earn a more than respectful 79% rating on website Rotten Tomatoes. One reviewer described the film as “chaotic, charming, and full of heart.”
The indie feature is said to be a throwback for anyone who enjoyed stoner comedies that were popular during the early 2000s. While it is said that the filmmakers took over a genuine apartment building as the setting for the movie.
Another critic penned: “You feel the hustle of Bunny in every frame. Alive, exciting, funny, and original, Bunny is gem not to be overlooked.”
A different verdict urged viewers: “Bunny is ultimately more of an immersive experience than a film, allowing viewers to feel what it’s like to live in one of those dimly lit, overpacked walk-ups where strange odours always linger in the air and there’s no such thing as a peaceful night.”

There are many film fans who echo their recommendations. As one person who went so far as to say: “One of the most entertaining movies I’ve seen in a long time. Insanely quirky characters. Many thumbs up.”
Someone else claimed: “Easily the best one and a half hours I have spent in 2025. I watch tons and tons of movies all the time. This movie is the best I’ve seen since Pulp Fiction. Extremely interesting yet very believable. Excellent acting and excellent production. Very realistic. I’d recommend watching it to anyone and will be opening the door to my friends and family. Never a dull minute, definitely worth your time.”
One person replied: “Bunny is a fast movie that’s tightly packed in close quarters. The script is so dense it feels nearly as claustrophobic as the narrow apartment complex it bounces around in. It was fun, charming, and always engaging – like a mix of Trainspotting and The Bear. Overall a great movie to sit down with and before you know it it’s over.”
Bunny is streaming on Netflix.
