Calling all thriller fans! Apple TV has unveiled a first look at its upcoming For All Mankind spin-off, Star City, and it looks seriously good.

Billed as a “propulsive paranoid thriller,” the series follows a key moment in the alt-history retelling of the space race, when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon. But this time, the story is told from the perspective of the Soviet Union, exploring how cosmonauts, engineers, and intelligence officers risked everything for the ambitious space program.

Not only does the series boast a seriously impressive cast, including Motherland‘s Anna Maxwell Martin and House of the Dragon‘s Rhys Ifans, but it’s a spin-off of the compelling sci-fi series, For All Mankind. The original show is also an alternative version of 1969 and follows what happens after the Soviet Union beat the United States to the moon.

With the same team of creators onboard, Ben Nedivi, Matt Wolpert and Ronald D. Moore, it’s safe to say this one will have us all glued to our screens.  Get the details below…

Until I Kill You

Based on Delia’s 2017 memoir Living with a Serial Killer, this four-part ITV drama tells the story of nurse Delia Balmer (played by Anna Maxwell Martin), who survived a near-fatal relationship with murderer John Sweeney. Set in the 1990s, the series tracks their relationship, from their first meeting in a pub to Delia’s traumatic journey through the police and criminal justice system.

Ludwig

For something a little lighter in tone, check out Ludwig. The BBC series follows reclusive puzzle setter John ‘Ludwig’ Taylor (David Mitchell), whose quiet life is upended when his identical twin brother, DCI James Taylor, vanishes. Drafted in by his sister-in-law Lucy (Anna Maxwell Martin), John agrees to impersonate his brother as a detective in the Cambridge Police Authority in order to investigate his mysterious disappearance.

Unforgivable

Another hard-hitting drama, Unforgivable follows the Mitchell family, who are dealing with the devastating aftermath of an act of abuse perpetrated by a member of their own family. The BBC series, which also stars Anna Friel and David Threlfall, depicts the ripple effect of abuse and how those impacted can move forward from their trauma.
